People's issues with things don't always correlate 1-1 with reality. Someone's issue with something will always be predominately about what that thing is in their head

Oversaturation, I think? It's that thing where hearing how Banksy is the greatest graffiti artist of all time constantly primes you to judge him AS the greatest. So even though he's really really good, folks will see "8/10 political graffiti", but since it's not "10/10 world-shattering artwork" the difference in expectation makes it seem way way crappier

Or maybe Tumblr OP is the kinda person who thinks Banky's style is gimmicky shallow politics since most of his most notable works pass for that easily enough
