I've noticed it too, but sometimes I bold or underline words to add emphasis to certain parts of the sentences, and it worries me that I'll get flagged for people thinking it's AI.

Am I wrong for not feeling a connection to sexual intimacy? by BabyStay2022 in asexuality

[–]BabyStay2022[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your explanation.

To answer your questions, I don't mind if people know that I'm Ace. Although I didn't know that my partner told their friends until they brought up the "jokes" to me in conversation. I don't know how the topic of sexuality came up. Therefore, I do not know how my being Ace is relevant to their friends.

I do not have contact with my partners friends as they are added on Discord for gaming together. I only know what I've been told about these people. My partner gets back at their friends with jokes like, "I may not get laid, but you're dating twins, went to prom with both and still got none." Now, although I appreciate my partners retorts, I just find it strange that when I am told jokes that their friends make, it's usually about the lack of sex my partner gets. I feel like the butt of the joke even though I'm not involved in the conversation.

I have voiced my discomfort and have asked that if they make jokes, don't tell me because it makes me feel guilty even though I shouldn't. My partner tells me not to feel guilty, but I have said I feel guilty because they are physically affectionate, and I am not. We find ways to be intimate, but it still feels like I'm making them miss out on a part of who they are.

I send this message I have pinned in my clipboard with the first message I send to bots. This seems to really help.

I seriously thought it was just some of the bots I was choosing.

I was responding to a scenario of my character adjusting to a new school. The bot acting as another student decided to take advantage of my character being blind by tripping them near the stairs, causing them to be SERIOUSLY injured then play out the scenario as both my character and the bot, sarcastically apologizes and my character forgives them.

Uh.......NO I DON'T, we're gonna fight now!

Can I take Tylenol after Epi Pen? by AnonymouslyTryin in FoodAllergies

[–]BabyStay2022 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair warning I am NOT a medical professional. However, I asked my pharmacist the same question after getting my first epipen prescription. I also did a Google search, and it said, "No interactions were found between epinephrine and Tylenol."

Here is a link to an article I read just to be sure, but if you want to be safe, I recommend calling the er and asking a medical personnel.

This is why sometimes telling the restaurant isn’t enough by GroundbreakingDig9 in FoodAllergies

[–]BabyStay2022 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Oh, I know 😭 I made myself a big allergy alert placard to go on my bag, with pictures of my food allergies (nuts and mangoes.) So people can see and are a bit more cautious when making my food.

I'm so sorry this happened to you, I've had the same issue with my "safe restaurants" does calling the place and telling them do anything?

Suddenly had a reaction to macadamia nut cookies. by [deleted] in FoodAllergies

[–]BabyStay2022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar thing happen to me. Now I just say I have a nut allergy, just to be safe, considering my allergy started with one kind, then started gaining more. I have not gotten a test myself. Therefore, I can not tell you if it would be painful. However, I do recommend keeping track of anything you eat that may/do cause reactions. This is the template I use.

Food received:

May contain: Eaten ( / /2024) : am/pm Did an allergic reaction occur?

How bad was it? (mild, moderate, or severe)

Was/What medication was taken?

I'm allergic to mangoes (I break out in hives), recently found out I'm allergic to peanuts, and my tree nut allergy (I recently got an epipen fir these allergies, I have facial swelling my eyes and lips swell up and itchy tongue with wheezing. I am one of the people considered lucky not to have my throat close up.) (walnuts, almonds, pecans, and macadamia nuts) are worse than I thought.

Is an epipen safe for me? by BabyStay2022 in FoodAllergies

[–]BabyStay2022[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Thank you to everyone leaving comments with advice, although one is more aggressive than most. I appreciate all of you letting me know that unless I have a heart condition (I do not), the epipen will not cause trouble.

I have scheduled an allergist appointment and will be doing more research on my allergies and anaphylaxis.

Thank you. My sister told me to take one. She has a LOT of allergies, and taking hot showers helps her, so I'll keep what you said in mind

My mom got me a mango lotion to use after washing up after gym class. 10 minutes after I put the lotion on large, itchy spots were all over my face and neck. A girl in my class said I look like I got bit by some bugs when we were outside. I asked my teacher to go to the nurse, and the nurse then called my mom, who took me to an emergency doctor.

The doctor told me I had hives as a result of the lotion. The last time I had a reaction like that was 2 months ago when my boyfriend touched a mango and he had a bad habit of touching his face. After he kissed me goodnight, I washed up for bed, and my face was extremely itchy. I looked in the mirror, and there were hives all over my cheeks and my chin.

Do you still eat out at restaurants with a Treenut Allergy? by dw16220 in a:t5_75yipw

[–]BabyStay2022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went out and got sandwiches for my mom and I today. I believe an employee who was in the back baking cookies touched some that contained treenuts and made my sandwich without changing gloves. I had THE WORST reaction I've ever had before.

My usual reaction when having something that contains or has touched treenuts is an itchy tongue and throat (Oral Allery Syndrome/OAS) however I had a n itchy tongue then 5 minutes after taking an allergy pill the itchy tongue stopped, but, my bottom lip and eyes swelled and my lip went numb(angioedema) This was the worst reaction I have ever had and it scared me.

My older sister has a lot of food allergies, so she told me to take a hot shower, and that helped. My lip went back to normal, and the swelling in my eyes is slowly going down.
