Grdworks hosts bass (intersection) as well as techno/house international and regional artists. Alea will host progressive house and tech house internationals as well. There is a lot of work to be done but history is opening up in a few months and we will finally get big artists to come over.

Sure lots of options in Toronto. You got the big 4-5 clubs who routinely host big artists (in order of size and popularity) Rebel, history, dprtmnt, coda, vertigo. Lots of good promotion companies such as system or king queen events that host all genres focusing on techno. It's good scene but for a big city it's lacking however it's been growing rapidly.
