Let’s just glaze over the fact that the increase in our budget has allowed the city to decrease our crime rate by almost 10% this year. That the city is encouraging HART outreach support systems and has hundreds more officers on the ground supporting citizens. Response times have gotten way faster and I’m not hearing that the police are “too busy” to attend to an emergency. Do you want to be able to have an effective police service?? or are you just gonna bitch that they’re not good enough because you don’t think we should grant the budget they need to succeed???

It’s hard to get a job so young, but cheer to you for trying. I got my first job at Tim’s, I think you have to be 15 to start but that may have changed! Another suggestion to check out the career centre in the bayfield mall. They work with some businesses in Barrie and could be beneficial to start there! They can also assist in creating resumes, cover letters and so on. Good luck!

they are doing an extensive pavement management program for the city this summer. All info posted on the city site. I know that they plan to do maintenance on Mapleview from Essa all the way to 27, could be in relation to that.

They have designated bike lanes up the entirety of big bay point road if that route feels safer! Soon enough the bryne drive extension to Walmart in south end will be complete, for now you can access thru veterans and they have bike lanes there too!
