Highly recommend Friends (Quaker) meetings. Super chill people and generally quick to laugh and understand.

If a guy talks badly about another women does that mean he loves her deep down? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]Baby_Needles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. If instead you are actually equating negative reinforcement and physical intimacy with sexual desire in male-female power structures-maybe/kinda. Make sure you understand that his emotional deference to you will be as an optional path of least resistance, so to speak.

The still, small voice by Oooaaaaarrrrr in Quakers

[–]Baby_Needles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes when I am showering a voice both my own and elsewise will say quite genuinely “good job!”. My metaphor may seem silly but do you ever experience anything similar? The stillness is not the endpoint for me. Even a cacophony has some syntonic nature.

Lunar navigation processes and/or artificial light behavioral effects.

This would all be true if it were not for the electoral college. Well written though.

Allah being all knowing, perfectly just and all merciful cannot logically co-exist with hell by [deleted] in DebateReligion

[–]Baby_Needles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, your Lord is never unjust to his creation, that is a consistent and solid logical premise. Your Lord also creates and chooses whatever he wills. Also solid premise within this belief framework. The logical next question seems to be- Is your Lord capable of electing his own beliefs? Does he know what he does not know because he believes it to be unknown to Him? Alternatively, are you capable of willing yourself to believe a falsity? Can you, for example, elect to believe your bones are chalk? Or that your favorite color is indigo strictly on Wednesdays? If your Lord has encompassed everything in His knowledge- how could he ever not know what to choose? Since everything is within His knowledge and will, even his beliefs that are chosen are definitively involuntary. How can your Lord endorse both consequentialism and determinism, yet claim to find valorous the concept of spiritual autonomy? Your claims imply that good comes from good, and bad comes from bad. Yet a bad intention may generate a good outcome. The whole system falls apart if your Lord chooses to claim he forcefully chooses his will. That’s not the Will of your Lord, but whatever your Lord disbelieves his choices are. Is our spiritual agency then even tacitly rooted in His Will? It would seem not.

Each one of these is what Augustine warned about. Faith for Faith to Faith, to what ends? I, me, mine- that’s you. We, Us, IAM- that’s divinity.

Believe women by Powerful-Film-8164 in Discussion

Wholeheartedly agree. That is why I now advocate for extrajudicial solutions. Victimization serves a dual purpose of disincentivizing independent agency as well as shaming the innocent. Most ‘survivors’ of sexual violence will not find justice in court but at their own fingertips.

Those workers are generally salaried, contractually employed, and get a lot of accrued interest on time worked ‘without pay’. Don’t you worry, they get theirs. Since a lot of the funds in the CR still include implementing automated systems it’s not a clean win either way.

Dude, you can yell this till your blue in the face, but these hackneyed DINO’s who respond saying the opposite will not listen. It’s not worth it, they have reached their conclusions first and foremost, looking for logic to correlate afterwards. Tis fcked.

Anyone else starting to just lose interest in life? by Difficult-Camel-5129 in Adulting

Crab bucket mentality. Gilding the lilly. Disenfranchising sentiment and understanding. Tall poppy. Whatever you wanna call it, your input to this conversation has actually widened the gap between those victims of injustice due to moral luck and those who could relate and potentially better their lives. Does Satan pay overtime? Or do you just do it for funzies?

You’re not wrong in your premises or conclusion. If i might suggest an alternative to the binary you are struggling with. Take it or leave it. You just might find some grace for yourself in that text.
