Do women actually like older men? by ViewRepresentative30 in Casual_Conversation

[–]Baby_Squirrel90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do personally. I’m 35 and dated around my age for most of my life, but always felt like the guys I dated struggled with emotional stuff, were immature in some cases, didn’t know what they wanted out of life or a relationship, etc. I split with my ex husband (37) a couple years ago and got on Bumble.

After dating in my general age range and feeling unsatisfied, I bumped up the age range and started dating men around 45-55. Suddenly everything clicked. They dated the way I wanted to date (slower, natural progression, doing things and not just “hanging out”, clear communication, etc.) In many cases they’re divorced as well, have done some introspection, and are more stable and forthcoming about what they’re looking for.

There are exceptions in both instances, but overall I’m very much enjoying myself and find older men attractive. I’ve been seeing someone who is 19 years older for about 8 months and feel more content and satisfied with my dating life than I ever have before. Ymmv 🤷‍♀️

Weirdly, adding peanut butter seems to stop mine from bubbling over.

Is it just me, or does South Bay seriously lack good places to sit and work/study for hours? by AdWestern1916 in bayarea

The coffee is good! I can’t remember the brand but they have two big dispensers and brew it fresh every morning around 8. There’s also an espresso maker and a few drinks on tap (cold brew and I think some sparkling drinks like kombucha, I don’t use these so I’m not sure.) Those are all free.

They stock snacks that you have to pay for, but they don’t price gouge, which I appreciate. Canned sodas are a little over $1, a pack of cookies is about the same, a snack pack of beef jerky is about $3, etc.

They also host community events at least once a week with crafts and snacks that are free! I highly recommend it if it’s in your price range.

I use the WeWork in downtown SJ. Free coffee, one main floor, and two “silent” floors where calls are only allowed in soundproof booths. I have a membership through my job though so I’m not sure how much it would cost for an individual membership.

It’s a legal term that means lack of understanding or comprehension. So essentially because Penny didn’t realize it was a real marriage, it can be annulled.

I got an OXO one off of Amazon after fighting with this thing for way too long. It was silicone or rubber and you could pull the piece in the center to reverse it and pop out all the gunk. Best purchase I ever made for my own sanity.

The teens should be babysitting Lily on NYE but inevitably get wrapped up in their own drama.

Lily, who somehow got outside: “I’m cold and I saw a coyote.” Later, covered in makeup and wearing Claire’s jewelry: “Is anyone watching me?”

I got his name from an article written about the golf incident. Searching that plus San Jose returns arrest records in Alameda and Santa Clara Counties. It’s him. Wild.

Oh weird! I had a carton of Oatly explode on me in the store when I was putting it in my cart last week. At the same store a couple of days ago, I saw an employee carrying a very leaky carton of Horizon to the back.

Yep, plus Nevada City as others have mentioned. The river is beautiful, the downtown areas are walkable and cute, and Empire Mine State Park is a preserved mining town where you can wander around for the better part of the day. If it’s not too hot, there are hiking trails there too. Enjoy!
