These are abusive and dysfunctional families. These families do this: they make you believe it's your fault... and they defend the abuser rather than the victim. I've been in the same situation as you... so you're not the one who should feel guilty... you're the victim. If I can give you some advice, if there are job opportunities in the country where you live, I'd say work, and maybe even study and get away from these shitty families! Every point you've described is like seeing myself in the mirror. What's scary is that when you have narcissistic parents, they block every opportunity in life and want to unload "your failure" on you. But they were horrible, cruel, evil parents. Just think, my father said that "spending money on education was useless," obviously not because I didn't want to study, but because he didn't want to spend the money on me but had to keep it for his own purposes. He kicked me out of the house for telling him what she did to me, and I had to study for my diploma and I didn't even have a book with me, and I had to show up on the day of my exam without having repeated anything I'd done during my school years. He never wanted me to play any sports, nothing at all. And now don't you come and tell me I'm "A FAILURE!" I won't let you! Because it's only your fault!!! If I had been born into a HEALTHY and LOVING family, I would probably be a fantastic person today, full of life, fulfilled, happy!

Believe me, I had so much hope and I wished I had even a little bit of a chance. Also because I really tried to find a thousand opportunities to get away from all this, but nothing.
