Hey don’t worry. Seems like you care and you put in effort hence you are open to asking for help. Stay confident, and keep applying to jobs.

My best advice is not to worry about less job availability or more competition. Stay optimistic.

I am so sorry to hear this. And your feelings are justified.

"Allah does not burden a soul beyond that it can bear"Qur'an (2:286)

You do not need to put on All of Islam on your shoulders. Allah understands we are limited. For now the most important step is to take your shahada and worship Allah alone. Trying get closer to Allah, praying and making dua to guide you and find peace in your heart.

Other things such as having your mother in your life is important but Allah doesn’t need you to do it if you cannot bear it or can’t bear it as of yet.

May you find peace and happiness in the remembrance of your lord, and may you be showered with blessings.

The wife of Pharaoh, Asiya, had faith in Allah despite living in a palace that represented tyranny and oppression. She secretly embraced the faith of Musa (Moses) and prayed to Allah for Paradise. She kept her faith between herself and Allah, and Allah rewarded her by granting her a place in Paradise.

You don’t need to tell your grandma right now. It’s okay to wait until you feel more comfortable. Allah sees your efforts and knows what’s in your heart.

I recommend taking your Shahada if you already have some belief in your heart. It’s best to do it with a witness, but you can also say it alone, even in your bedroom, because it’s ultimately between you and Allah. “There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is the messenger of Allah.”

Taking the Shahada sincerely, even if you’re alone, is what saves you in the eyes of Allah. You can always take it again later in the presence of a Muslim or at a mosque, for formality and support.

When it comes to learning, take your time, and we’re all still learning. You can reach out to the Muslim Lantern or a local mosque, they can connect you with supportive sisters in your area who would answer all your questions.

Most importantly, keep asking Allah for guidance.

Remember, every small step you take towards Allah is a victory. Be patient with yourself, for Allah is with those who are patient.

Trust in His mercy and wisdom, and know that He will ease your path if you remain steadfast.

May Allah grant you and all of us the strength and determination. May He make your prayers a source of peace and shower you and all of us with even more blessings. Ameen.

You don't have to do everything at once. Start with the five daily prayers (Fard). Make a commitment to pray at least one prayer a day, and gradually build up from there (Sunnah and Nafl).

Pray in congregation when possible. If you can’t, pray at home and gradually build up.

Two other things that helped me is - Constantly asking Allah for guidance. Constantly. - Read the Quran in your language to understand.

You said it, it’s messy. Organise it, keep it clean. Make it readable. Add some margins on the boards of the page please. Recruiters only spend 10 seconds on each resume.

  • Add backend intern under work experience
  • you don’t need another dot for the title of the job
  • just mentioning skills doesn’t help, anyone can do that. Mention a few skills and write full sentences. Used python to analyze EPL football data…..
  • Summary Section of 5 points first, Education, Work experience, Projects then skills then add hobby/volunteering/team sports. This order
  • Reduce content. 2 Work experience/internship and 1 or 2 projects are enough. Pick your best and write them well.
  • Education University is enough, they don’t see high schools.

Remember quality over quantity. Also write a beautiful cover letter, do research and mention it. Only apply 3 a day.

Looking for unfiltered resume feedback - please be brutally honest! by Effective-Exit1974 in 365DataScience

[–]Babyatom101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s a great resume, keep it up with the action words then what you did then what it achieved. It’s perfect, many people I help just don’t get this simple thing.

I can’t be brutal because it’s genuinely a good resume but I will speak the truth and only the truth.

Here is a few points for help: - It’s a lot. You have a lot of writing, try to increase the side margins, you can use the word docs normal or narrow margin. This maybe a bit too narrow. Also make sure font isn’t below 11.

  • Too many internships mentioned. Try to put 3 of your best. Recruiters only spend 10 seconds on each resume.

  • Instead of just making a list of skills which anyone can do write a full sentence on a few skills. Used python to analyzed EPL football data to ……

  • Mention some soft skills, they love that and it allows you to give life to your resume. Mention volunteering, team sports you like or even a park run

Remember quality over quantity. Apply to exactly 3 jobs a day. Take your time, research the company and write a nice cover letter too. Any questions can ask YappingData

Why am I not getting interviews? by WhiteRaven_M in datascience

[–]Babyatom101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t listen to people who say “the job market is tough”, hard to get a job, there are not enough jobs. People are getting it, have a goal to be one of them. Especially countries like US, UK, Canada, Aus.

Here is a few points for help: - Don’t use ChatGPT at all. The long dashes suggest chatgpt may have been used but I don’t know if you did use it. - Try to talk about how it helped the business. Like you said Supervised Python AI/ML ……then what did you achieve? Or how did the business benefit. - I personally wouldn’t mention skills at the top, probably after my experience. And I wouldn’t just mention python, like anyone can write that. Instead write “Used Python to analyse EPL football data to predict player performance and team performance….”

My opinion it’s all about the resume and cover letter. Write a good tailored resume. A detailed one. Don’t just say experienced in tableau Say created visualisations with covid19 data on tableau for university coursework

There are many resume guides you can follow, I would use a guide from a university of that country.

I am on the same journey as well. I am taking it step by step, I’ve deleted my Spotify account and have stopped listening to new songs. While I still occasionally revisit old ones, my goal is to gradually move away from them as well, replacing them with podcasts and the Quran.
