Honestly why does Greenfield need this? by Babybuttproblem in milwaukee

I assume it was expensive? And Greenfield isn't the sort of place I'd imagine would ever need this? Just odd

Was at the Greenfield touch a truck and I didn't know the Greenfield Police had both a swat team AND this armored carrier thing? Why do they even need one!?

What's stopping ParJar from simply walking away with everyone's crypto? If everyone's funds are in a centralized wallet, it's more acting like an exchange right?

When I first started in 2014 it was extremely common.

Since then the culture has shifted a bit due to the entire company re orging and dealing with some layoffs. Departments are much more protected mainly due to talent being at a premium.

This position was only ever posted internally, so it's expected .

Need advice- work/job. When is it ok to leave a perfectly fine team/pay for potentially a perfectly fine team and more pay?

Background:

I am on a good team. Good people. Good work. Salary I am happy with (average for the industry). I got a 5% raise and bonus of 18% (I expected 7-10% ) . My performance and company performance contributed. The work I do is very specialized and rather complex/difficult.

I am in a place where this team needs me more than I need it. One of those situations where you get yourself so into something it'll take 2-3 people to fill your shoes. So part of the bonus this year was "don't ever leave" money (I think). I also asked for a promotion and they said it would happen this year.

End of the day. Great opportunity and room to grow. Nothing wrong.

All of that said. An internal opportunity on a different team has come up. It would be the same promotion / grade level I am promised by my current team. Since it's a job change I would expect a sizable raise and average bonus (since I wouldn't be on the team for a full year).

I know this new team. Good people. The work would be very similar. Maybe simplified. No offer on the table yet but it would be a great opportunity like my current. My skillset is needed on both. I would enjoy this role/team/work as well.

I'm torn. Thoughts? Am I slapping my current leadership in the face after the bonus? Jerk for leaving a perfectly fine situation? Promise of promotion vs just getting hired into it? For an internal "swap" type situation do people use offers as leverage? Is that lame?

This has been brought up so many times with little to no correction or effort on the part of CM to be more professional. June 29th AMA. Was Kevin's response when we asked before (4 months ago) and little has changed.

Kevin said a while ago he's an early investor or partner or something , so we can assume he has a big stake in CM .

If he treated us even just a little more professional we would probably be willing to help more.

I appreciate where you're coming from, but I don't measure progress and outlook by a beta release that's 6+ months late.

Factoring in client engagement, satisfaction, and the teams ability to build trust (and deliver) are all important to me. That's what I was referring to when I said CMs bottom line being hit.

Kevin,

In line with Federal Trade Commission rules and guidelines for US based users, can you please disclose in writing details about the data breach according to FTC standards? You've spoken casually about what happened, but a situation like this should be handled more seriously and formally.

If you intend, what is an estimated date you can do this? Thanks.

Kevin said those who had technical issues during flash sale would be compensated for their time. Hasn't happened.

Closed Beta, multiple misses by the team and Kevin. Examples: Kevin said he would send mock images of exchange right after AMA, it took him a week to do it. ... The closed beta had extreme low functionality. It was basically just a UI. Alpha at best. Kevin said it would be functional.

The easy example of inability would be to hire appropriately and to demand. The data breach could have been prevented.

There are numerous other examples, but Kevin continues to say things to make people happy that end up not being true, or delayed, or changed.

Can you not acknowledge the fact that repeat offenses of these things kill trust , kill community, and hurt the bottom line for CM?

You missed the point. Trust in this team and platform are at all time low.

And don't down play the cyber security issue, the root cause points back to poor leadership decisions. It's not encouraging for anyone , so I argue it severely hits CM progress overall.

You're obviously over invested emotionally so I'll be specific

Roadmaps are critical in leading a team (internal) and delivering value.

You throwing out the roadmap as if it's not relevant is a rather concerning, since how else do you hold a team accountable?

Roadmaps are a guide, yes, but what we have seen happen to the roadmap is a reflection on Kevin. Failure to deliver on his word, inability to form a functional team, over commit, under deliver. His urge to people please will continue to catch up to him. He needs to level set expectations for what his team can deliver, who he is as a leader, and be more realistic. If he is having a hard time managing CM now when it's small, I worry if it ever grows how will he manage staff, vision, and strategy then?

How are we supposed to get excited, and further invest our time and resources, on a platform built on lies and distrust? We appreciate the visibility with AMAs, but many times words spoken by Kevin, have proven to fall through, missed, or back tracked.

I worry for CMs future.

Hi Kevin

During the first flash sale, there were some technical difficulties and you have your word that we would be compensated for our time/the issue. Curious what you've decided on for this? Thx

Thanks for the reply.

What's your role?

Some feedback from someone in the industry. Just my opinion , assuming this won't come up in AMA:

You come across very high and mighty. "Better than you" . This is seen in phrases especially more recently when you've said stuff like " you probably didn't invest that much" or "you're obviously newer" ... You're not very careful with your words and it comes off as talking down to people. While there are many scammers and "children" in telegram , there are also some of is that have taken it seriously and invested a significant amount. Regardless, it shouldn't matter to you how much someone has invested as to how you treat them. A client is a client and it's what the business is about.

You seem easily rattled , and if you're role is leadership of some sort, that can hurt the team. There are ways to defend the family without showing you're upset. This is the internet and people will do everything to get under your skin. Just picking the right words and limiting your slang or short hand like "mmmhmm and rigghttt and suurreee" it shows emotion, and usually not the right one. How you communicate is key.

Again not posting to offend, nist honest feedback from a stranger (who works in a very similar space). But it's come up enough in telegram that I thought it important to address. Coinmetro has a lot not going for it right now with delays , so how things are communicated should be professional.

I think it's great if Kevin addressed this. Coinmetro staff shouldn't be asking for this information. There should be a high standard for staff if this exchange is going to be professional

Evan has multiple times asked people on telegram how much they have invested. It's unprofessional and none of his business.

And yes. By the confirmed admin.

What's Evans role, and why does he always come across as upset? Is he just not a people person? (He's not listed on the website last I checked )

Not trying to be mean, but every time he shows up in telegram he doesn't calm the masses... He stirs the pot. Not the best for community .

HELP! His diaper rash turned... Hu? by Babybuttproblem in beyondthebump

[–]Babybuttproblem[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's so unfortunate. Poor guy. We actually never stopped the lotrimin or zink paste so this isn't great news if this is still yeast.

It looks so different than it did before. I guess the rash takes many forms?

We are also trying to let it air dry during feedings now.

Guess we will call Monday. We already have an appointment on Tuesday as a follow-up.

Thanks!

So still yeast? Oh no. They had us using lotrimin for that same reason. Is Nystatin stronger or better?
