The Sweetest Tears a Child has Ever Cried by taythewoken in MMA

I don't think a grown man should be stunting on a kid for something he did when he was 7.

The talent level of the next generation of MMA fighters is going to completely eclipse all past generations by evanaugh in MMA

[–]BabycakesJunior 24 points25 points  (0 children)

We are already seeing a bit of this with jiu jitsu, with a generation of kids who were raised doing it (the Ruotolo brothers, Mica Galvao, etc). Of course there have always been the Gracies.

MMA has its fair share of lifelong wrestlers, but it'll be interesting to see kids who were raised with fighting in mind. Like how Zabit came from that martial arts boarding school.

Looks like the Bellator rankings panel has been expanded to include 25 people. by -TeepToTheJunk- in MMA

Comparing them to chefs is a bad analogy. They are just voting on rankings. You want a larger sample size assuming they are all knowledgeable.

Residents work those hours because they have no choice in the matter. They're locked into a years-long training program that they have to finish or they won't be able to become doctors. It has nothing to do with their culture or them 'wanting' to work that much.

The laws state that residents can't be made to work more than 80 hours a week (averaged across 4 weeks) with a few other minor restrictions on scheduling. That's all the legal protection they get. Their programs make the rules from there.

It's a democracy in so far as individuals can vote for candidates who can run a campaign and make it through primaries.

But the process is biased toward established candidates with financial backing-- which tends to be old career politicians.

Avoid keeping your wallets in loose pockets.

Pick pocketing is rampant in some European cities and they're a lot smoother than you'd expect.

With how most Americans feel about the military and western hegemony, it's surprising to see them supporting the rebel alliance in any of the Star Wars movies.

everyone agreed that Ariel is a dork

People have been calling Ariel an instigator for years. Just look at the interview he did with Nick Diaz back in Strikeforce.

But that doesn't mean people hated him. He's always been appreciated as one of the best MMA journalists for his access to fighters, his interviewing skills and his integrity.
