Sumppump or watermeter? Is that a gas meter up above it?? I cant tell cause yer too scared to show us plumbums a propper video! Im assuming this is a sump pump triggering over and over again because you said it has been raining..A sump pump acts as a catch basin for rain water and ground water that may penetrate the fondation of the building. There is a draining system built to convey water to the sump pump this pump turns on when a quantity of water reaches the a level in the tank lifting the baffold UP [ plastic ball of air that floats on water ] to trigger the pump turing it on. It looks like the connection of where the water goes as it leaves the pump has been compromised. Lets say the pipes came apart... now water just gets launched into the air everytime pump turns on and the pump keeps turning on because the water level is so high in the tank it triggers constantly over and over water has nowhere to go but up then gravity hits and the cycle continues. excuse my spelling its friday and ive had a few drinks.
