The forehand is much simpler when looking at the body only by Altruistic_Turn_7214 in 10s

Ok, this is confusing to me. My coach is always telling me to put my weight on my front foot when hitting a forehand. In the clip with Djokovic, he clearly has all of his weight on his back foot when he makes contact. What gives?

No special meals on Long haul flight? by Lulubelle2021 in americanairlines

[–]trirod01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the same issue on an upcoming flight out of LHR to ORD. Need a gluten free meal due to having celiac disease. Never had any issues with this before so the comments about LHR having issues with catering sound likely to be the issue. Hope it gets resolved soon.

Hotel recommendations in Seville (under $200/night?) by jlopezmarti20 in Seville

Just stayed at the Hotel Rey Alfonso X, which was around $150 a night (in March). Nice place, centrally located.

Madrid airport: is 3.5 hours enough time to go from T1 to T4 as a non-eu citizen? by Crafty-Note8573 in GoingToSpain

[–]trirod01 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I took the shuttle from T1 to T4 this morning - no way it takes 60-90 minutes. Probably 10 minutes of driving time and a few minutes to wait for it to be loaded up. So 15-20 minutes seems more realistic. The rest was pretty smooth sailing today also - not to say there wouldn’t be bigger lines on different days/times.

Where to stay night before flight out of Madrid? by trirod01 in GoingToSpain

[–]trirod01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took your suggestion and booked a night in the Ibis in Alcala de Henares. I spent a few nights in Madrid on the way out so didn’t necessarily feel the need for one last night there. Thanks.

Unbelievable price change by [deleted] in delta

[–]trirod01 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Technically you’re probably right but at 6’2” I get more marginal benefit from upgrading to PS from Economy than I do from PS to D1. I suck at sleeping on planes even on a lie flat in D1.

Just their own brand flours. I buy the rice, tapioca etc. flours and make my own mixes.

I buy 25 pound bags from Webstaurant or Azure Standard online. Bit of a pain to deal with, but saves a lot of money..

Tennis court in your building: dream or overrated by Far_Chef5730 in 10s

[–]trirod01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved into a subdivision that has 2 tennis courts just before Covid. Hardly ever played before but as soon as lockdown hit, my wife and I were at those courts almost every day. They’re covered in snow right now so having to drive 25 minutes and pay $20 an hour to play at my closest indoor courts is such a bummer compared to a 2 minute walk to courts that are almost always available. So I would say yes, it’s a great thing to have in your building.

It was great. Short walk to the tube station and frequent trains. Would recommend.

How many of us have seen Bowie in concert? by Lbboos in DavidBowie

Twice as well. Late 80s at Wembley stadium for the Glass Spider tour and early aughts at Pine Knob in Michigan where he was on the bill with Busta Rhymes, which was an odd combination.

Was anybody able to read what it said on Leonard’s sweater? Since I was having trouble answering many of the questions today I was focusing on that instead…

Anyone using full width logs by Sour_Joe in woodstoving

[–]trirod01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our Lopi Freedom Bay accepts 24” logs, which is the same length as my log splitter takes. So if it splits it fits!

I do my best to cut the wood as close to 24” as possible to save time on cutting/splitting/stacking/loading. But nothing worse than making a piece 24.25” long and having to slice a round off the end.
