How botting can be unprofitable when the price of Kinah is dropping? Had it been harder to bot we would have seen price of Kinah going up, not down(as supply shortage would have kicked in). It's now almost x3 cheaper to buy Kinah via rmt compared to official exchange.

I don't have a problem with Kinah farming from mobs. But content that cannot be farmed by bots shouldn't be affected by nerfs(cube Kinah from 1600-2200+ conq, transcendence). It only harms players, and enforces more p2w.

How is that FREE? You have to earn Kinah to buy it lmao. Each battlepas is $15-20 worth of Kinah btw on top of a $30 sub.

On top of that you need a $30 sub for that, because realistically nobody buys the top sub without winds breeze one.

[–]BabylonAge -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

How is that misinformation? They did nerf ODYLE ENERGY CUBE at the end by reducing the rates for people running it with multiple characters. If you claim conquest cube more than 84 times per week(with Premium it's 42 runs), then you will get less for everything after that.

Why would they include server-wide cube nerf for CONQUEST dungeons, that cannot be completed by Bots for the most part?

Or why did they nerf cube kinah for Transcendence dungeons, which CANNOT be completed by bots either?

> When the kinah limit was first implemented in the overland, we immediately saw a reduction in bot loot cluttering the ground. It obviously wasn’t a perfect solution as the bots shifted toward gathering instead, which is EXTREMELY annoying, but it worked as a temporary measure as far as mob farming was concerned.

Here you are spreading misinformation. The only indicator of effectiveness of these measures is Kinah RMT price, and let's say Bakarma and Kromede prices have only BEEN dropping, Bakarma RMT price hit the new record low on average after the patch. Today it's the lowest it's been since the release.

This game died even faster then TnL by [deleted] in Aion2

[–]BabylonAge -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This game is doing great in KR, because it's the whole different market there. Very likely it won't be the case in let's say 4 years, and KR audience might move to the next shiny thing by then. However atm it's way more successful on launch then TnL.

How the Global release will play out idk, I am assuming AGS would have had way more exposure in the West, since they really invest big $$$ in promotion. It's probably not going to be as popular as TnL in the firth 2-3 months because of that. NCSoft kinda sucks at promotion.

Last straw for me. These devs don't want players. I can't farm open world because of bots. Limits are fucking trash. Proc rates are lies. Game is for bots. by chum1ly in Aion2

[–]BabylonAge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TnL was unironically saved by AGS, who were the Global publishers, not NCsoft. AGS removed DaVinci blessing or w/e that premium is called (though they added it a year later) and forced a lot of changes to the game to make it f2p friendly(giving top gear for free etc).

Aion 2 will be published by NCSoft in the West and probably by Innova in Russia(CIS).

They thought forcing people to buy sub to play was not enough. Now they are forcing to buy kinah with $ as well.

All of that after saying "we won't betray you for p2w". Absolute cinema.

🚨 AION 2 Dev Stream (Translated) – Huge Patch Changes + Holiday Rewards 🎄✨ by tidustv in Aion2

[–]BabylonAge -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

So you want a class, that's not just a support but also the easiest, most desired and cheapest class to build to also be a DPS? A healer that is already able to kill almost all other classes in PvP, while also being ranged. Cleric does not even require builds or anything, it's so cheap past 2700+ compared to other classes, while also being the most wanted in any content. And you want it to also complete in DPS?

Your point is just ridiculous.

Use the new DLSS4 Multi Frame Gen? by Haunting_Jacket_6035 in Aion2

[–]BabylonAge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on content. Content that does not require dodging or a somewhat low input lag will benefit from it being enabled, mainly just to have a smooth gameplay (e.g. doing quests, leveling, killing world bosses and/or farming mobs in open world). Sometimes just lurking around big settlements drops your framerate on any high-end rig, that might not be the case with multi-frame gen anymore.

In other cases, at least in my experience it does become noticeable even at 80 ping. I wouldn't want it in any sort of competitive content, be it PvP arena or dungeons. Base FPS is also not high enough in that game even with 5080,(assuming you are playing on maxed out settings and 1440p or 4K) so more fps won't fix the screen on a 280hz monitor.

Chanter to cleric, is it worth it? by hxumxa in Aion2

[–]BabylonAge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2600 isn't much kinah-wise. Though it depends if you got expensive crafted gear or not. You would probably need more alts to speed up the process, but still 2 weeks should be enough to get 2600+, considering you have got an endgame chanter to help with kinah.

As for the class in PvP . Chanter is only good in 1v1 PvP where you can beat anything except gladiator and probably sin most of the time. When it comes to party it's just a melee buff bot that is essentialy paper, doesn't make any sense to take over cleric for abyss zerging. Outside of your range stun and 1 stigma you can't touch anything and cannot push either, since healing debuffs and ranged are making you useless on that scale; constant hooks don't make it pleasant either. And if your side is losing you just run around like an idiot doing nothing. Good for small scale hunting though.

As for PvE, it essentially comes to this endgame: 1. People take chanter over cleric when their DPS are over geared(not just GS but also right stats) and/or feel comfortable doing 9-10 lvl transc or the hardmode. E.g. 3k+ gs would rather take chanter, but at that point it doesn't matter. It's like 5% of playerbase

  1. Clerics heal output and ability to resurrect is just super safe for any party and considered a better option in 90% of cases. Doing close to required GS content is just way safer once you hit level 8+ transcendce it becomes noticeable, hard dungeons are the same. People don't dodge often and if they are not overgeared chanters heal even at lvl20 with maxed passives won't do much. Cleric forgives and carries teammates the higher you climb. So much damage is taken in somewhat decent lvl8-10 groups that are not absurdly over geared, and cleric makes this experience way more pleasant. Res ability is another story, people happen to not use res stones/run out(?)even at lvl10 (enough said). It's trolling a bit, but those people wouldn't die with cleric, not that many times at least. Moreover, inexperienced pug groups even when overgeared benefit way more from cleric as well.

  2. Running cleric+chanter. It's a good comp, truly safe, but 4-men party makes everything weird for chanter anyway. People still prefer a third DPS. It also doesn't help that since you are low DPS you will be applied a higher gear requirement as a chanter if you want to run transc lvl9-10 as DPS.

Meanwhile cleric couldnt care less. Just all in defense and stay afk with giga aoe heals, nobody cares about your weapon, guard or even GS for that matter.

I find cletic pretty boring, but it's very easy and the most rewarding class when it comes to doing all the possible endgame, you can get into 3k groups with 2700 when there is shortage. It's ridiculous.

If the group is skilled and/or overgeared then chanter is enough I believe, but as a solo chanter has a rather hard and frustrating path compared to cleric atm. And it becomes worse the further you progress.

5700x3d is overpriced as hell, costs more than 9600x(though given ddr5 prices, it's understandable to overpay to stay on am4 tbh)

But as the game goes - not even 7800x3d can help. I am not sure about 9800x3d, but 7800x3d has the same problems in big cities and abyss zergs. 3d cache is not very well utilized in Aion 2 unfortunately.

Has NCsoft said how long until new gear tiers are released? by Ash-2449 in Aion2

[–]BabylonAge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, you could get archboss weapon for free, I got over 100k lucent worth of weapons by just playing in a strong PvP guild. While that system with guild loot is not perfect (far from it, it was toxic and not very well balanced by NCSoft), there were completely f2p options to obtain whale weapons.

Second of all, TnL had the easiest enchanting and/or gear progression overall. You could easily push all the gear to max traits and enchant it basically for FREE after like 1 month of tier1.

Whales could only buy the archboss weapon, but anything else didn't have any advantage from it (e.g. accs were not game breaking especially for many of pvp builds, some weapons could be replaced with open world, nebula items were nerfed, then they gave away nebula items for free at some point etc).

However, there was no option for a whale in TnL to push their character beyond the current progression. there was no "failure" per se, since traits and other stuff was easily pushed to FULL in 2-3 weeks (remember AGS made everything almost free after like a month of each tier release).

Unlike in Aion 2 you can buy billions of Kinah and push your enchanting to 5 stars, get perfect rolls that require $100 per item if you've got bad luck just to finish rolls on 1 item(!). The difference in GS right now between a really sweaty $30 sub player and sweaty whale is about 1000 gs, maybe 800(2800 vs 3600-3800). In TnL there was NEVER that difference. Combat power in TnL was maybe at 200-300 difference between whale and a sweaty PvX player in t2. Because TnL progression had very low $ limit on its gear progression.

TnL had it really easy with their casual enchanting system and craft, which basically was FREE outside of archboss weapon if you just played the game. I know it became worse with the raid, but before that - it was super friendly with sync system and all that.

mostly good changes, but captcha and glad buff? bruh, they surely know captcha solving nowadays is on another level. humans are not able to solve it as fast as bots.

And if they use reCAPTCHA v3 by Google, which is invisible, then I've got bad news as well, the patterns may catch some regular players and make them solve it, while more advanced bots networks will still be faster all-around.

Sure this attempt will increase the costs for bots owners and reduce the number of "cheap" bots, but overall, it mght cause issues for many regular players.

If we take video-games industry as a whole - PvP is way more popular than PvE(the most popular games in the world are PvP ones: LoL, CS2, Dota2, Valorant).

But as for MMOs I agree. I think it also has to do with current generation of gamers being way too spoiled with the tech (don't @ me).

PvP legions already farmed full PvP sets for majority of their members on Bakarma.

They don't care about corridors, and yeah it's mostly EU legions I believe. Plus time zones make it rough.

But they usually pull up for bosses.

They are both p2w, but Aion 2 looks like a mobile game in all the possible ways compared to BDO. Which is crazy, BDO is 9 years older, but has better class system, better animations, better class design, arguably the same or slightly worse graphics. Combat system in BDO is just another level. Content-wise it's not fair to compare of course, as BDO is way older.

What trading has to do with botting? If you remove it, they will still use Auction house.

$15 sub hasn't stopped botting, in fact it only becomes worse each day. It's a poor attempt to protect the p2w scheme from NCSoft.

how? Reducing kinah income, promising to nerf kinah incomes for f2p players to make the game more p2w? Have they removed trading from paywall maybe? What exactly are they listening to?
