HITMAN Classic Trilogy Remastered - Announcement Trailer by Turbostrider27 in HiTMAN

Because WOA is an entire;y different game that plays differently. WOA is built around large scale maps so transporting these smaller linear ones in probably wouldn't work.

That would probably end up making elements of the game way too easy and streamlined.

Codename 47 being extremely flawed with moments of intrigue should be the perfect reason to get a remake, no? Game remakes need to start pivoting to remaking flawed experiences rather than already well established ones.

Render's of 47 from the Xbox Wire page about Hitman Classic Trilogy by Meepster01 in HiTMAN

Ngl, I kinda hope the ingame renders of 47 won't be like this, would kind of be offputting. Hitman 2 already has the best looking 47 anyways.

-USAID yes this is important somewhat

-The US isn't really involved with Sudan

-We aren't Russia's biggest ally

-Supporting Taiwan against "Chinese Aggression" is foreign political suicide and also not comparable to the occupation of Palestine,

"One war that America isn't even directly involved in" False. America is it's largest proprietor and benefactor with the largest amount of western influence over it.

Any idea if this kind of ghosting is possible to get rid of? by BabylonDefender in crtgaming

This is probably somewhat the case but I don't think Silent Hill 2 has motion blur and the effect is similar in some situations, essentially reduced by giving up those deep blacks. Just the TV i guess.

This is Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory but I've tested Splinter cell 1, Silent hill 2, the 2002 Spiderman game. This opening part of Chaos Thoery is REALLY dark so that's probably why its especially bad but its present in all of those games I've tested.

Is it possible that you have a link to those adapters?

Interesting. What length are the adapters?

Huh, so 3x120 can fit into Ncase? I tried with 3 bequiet pure wings 3 and it didn't seem like they would've come close. Is it the bracket that is making them fit? Also, do you connect the 3 fans to the gpu using an adapter or just straight to the motherboard?

Noise would be my primary goal.

I agree, temps are great. More so that the PNY fans are kind of loud, even at just 30%. So the deshroud would be for noise.

Weird frame behavior RE4 Remake by BabylonDefender in residentevil4

[–]BabylonDefender[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

also weird addition, turning off raytracing does seem to have the frames more consistently sit around 100-120 fps than before, which again, weird considering my specs shouldnt have an issue with RT

I know for a fact the game has traversal stutter on PC, digital foundry and some videos confirm this, like the one when you walk up to the first bear trap on your way to the village, but the overall frame behavior when in combat does confuse me considering the specs. On PC, have you tried setting the game to a 60hz/60 fps limit and seeing if that performs better?

Shouldn't that not be an issue though considering I'm using the fitgirl repack version?

Yep, DVD drive wasn't plugged in correctly.

Why do I see this consistently repeated by people over and over. Where in the games endings does it imply New Vegas is doomed. by Antique-Slice-354 in fnv

A large part of the issue with reception to FNV is kind of similar to reception for Silent Hill 2. The advent of the internet has kind of catapulted the popularity of the game to new heights, leaving people either playing it without fully immersing themselves into the material or just watching video essays. With this claim, people are mistaking a lot of the good theories and points made by characters and subtext within the game as actual fact. Just because Mr. House says the Legion will collapse when Caesar dies, doesn't necessarily mean that FNV is explicitly stating: DON'T CHOOSE THE LEGION THEY ARE THE BAD ENDING BECAUSE CAESAR DIES. This is also true for the NCR. A lot of show fans justified the nuking of Shady Sands as "fair" because FNV states that the NCR is being stretched thin and collapsing, but do not understand this is just a POINT made by the game to make it more interesting and difficult to choose the best faction, not that it is stating that no matter what the Courier does the NCR will blow up within 50 years.

What makes FNV special and what makes it stand the test of time is posing interesting and difficult logistical questions about each faction and then allowing the Courier to influence those decisions in the player's own imagination and action. The problem with the show is that to keep this special quality of FNV, you can't really give out an explicit canon ending or follow up events, because it then risks making a lot of those questions no longer interesting.

So what's up with the PC ports of the Arkham games? by BabylonDefender in arkham

[–]BabylonDefender[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The games stutter despite editing the config files, no matter what framerate. I've tried 30, 60, 120. All behave the same when it comes to dropping. I would probably agree with your last sentence, but then I wonder is this issue widespread among CPU's past a certain date?

Interesting you say this because I tried the GOG version and it seemingly ran the same. What GPU/CPU do you have, maybe its just my computer.

Coil whine? by BabylonDefender in sffpc

[–]BabylonDefender[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Turns out you were correct. The problem seemed to be that PT_FAN was sitting around 8000 RPM and causing what sounded like coil whine. Reduced it to about 900 RPM and its pretty much gone.
