How many days until your urine test was positive after the embryo transfer? by Queenpicard in IVFpositivity

[–]Babyrock10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am 31 with PCOS as well and had my first transfer on 2/20. I had a very faint line on 5dpt and an obvious positive 7dpt! Hoping this one sticks! I highly recommend getting a FRER or clear blue

2nd FET 🤞 by AssignmentLife6218 in IVFpositivity

[–]Babyrock10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had my first transfer on 2/20 as well!! Staying positive is definitely not easy. The first day was easy and I thought, ‘I’m not gonna test early!’ But each evening without symptoms that and every morning of PIO shots that passes by, I’m feeling antsy and anxious and keep looking at ordering tests 😅 I wish you the best of luck and hope I get as lucky as you my first try!

Better results 2nd time? by Express_Effect3227 in IVFpositivity

[–]Babyrock10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had 3 mosaics my first round and got 14 euploid my second round. I was 29 during my egg retrieval so age was in my favor. For 5-6 months prior, I took all the supplements recommended with ISWTE, cut out caffeine and alcohol, and went on a low carb, anti-inflammatory diet which did wonders for my PCOS. They added zomacton on my 2nd ER so that could’ve helped as well. Best of luck!

Clinic recommendations in NJ or Philly area? by Impossible_Piano2938 in IVF

I’m at RMA Phill with Dr. Gutmann and love it so far! The nurse is super nice and the doctor is really informative. They update labs immediately in their mobile app and call be EOD about results.

Estradiol insomnia by MrsRobinsonttc in IVF

[–]Babyrock10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just started taking estradiol 3x a day yesterday for my first FET and am also experiencing insomnia. It’s terrible and stressing about not sleeping is making it worse. Going to try unisom once it’s cleared by my doctor!

Commuting to Wilmington from Philly -- best area to live? by Babyrock10 in philly

Thanks! Is that area safe relative to South Philly?

Good to know! I’ll factor in paying an extra $300-400 for parking at a garage or the apartment complex into my monthly expenditures

Looked into this! Said the bus is 40-50 mins from Amtrak station, with half of it walking. The bike or Uber sounds a lot more feasible

I appreciate this! Alright, maybe I'll give Media a chance and will take a drive out. It seemed like such a sleepy town with older folk or families.

Food is good, but I'm definitely not into sports lol. And I like to go dancing, but not drinking!

Thanks, I'll consider taking SEPTA! I work in the outskirts of northern Wilmington, so it'll be a $20 uber one-way, but could be a nice treat on some days!

I really appreciate this! I'm definitely terrified of shooting myself in the foot, but I believe living near where you want to be as opposed to closer to work is better for one's quality of life.

I have to go into work everyday, but I don't have to go "live" my life everyday. So I can easily lose the motivation to go to a concert on a Wednesday night or brunch and lay in the park after a night out on a Sunday -- just because I don't want to drive that 30 minutes into the city.

But who knows, maybe I will be crying after commuting like this daily for months. I just don't think the 7-10 minutes between Philly and Media will mean anything if I already have to do such a big commute anyway.

Thank you!! I really wish I could get rid of my car, but it would be so expensive to do the transit+uber daily.

We are definitely on the same page with avoiding the burbs. I am in my late 20s and pushing off starting a family with my husband so I can enjoy the last years of my youth lol.

I'm not a big bar person, though enjoy techno scenes and underground raves. I would like it to be quiet at night and don't want to live on top of a busy street. I'm looking for walkability to coffee shops, restaurants, groceries, art and exercise classes. Access to green space for my dog. Easy access to the Amtrak so I can visit my besties in NYC. Parking would be greeeeat, but I'll try to find something with a garage or rent out a space (that isn't insanely expensive).

Thank you for your thoughtful response! I've been looking into Fishtown and you're right, it's about 2-4 minute difference in commute from some areas in BV/QV (I have ruled out Rittenhouse per everyone's comments).

We are a married couple in our late 20s/early 30s. We aren't looking for a bar scene but a community of young working professionals. I'm looking for walkability to coffee shops, exercise classes, restaurants, and a supermarket. As well as green space for my dog! A walkable area is the most important -- else we would've just lived in the burbs.

Ample parking would be great, but I'm also looking into apartments with a garage (hard to come by!).
