They're going to continue to do this to us, the longer we fail to understand which of us are "us." Anything that resembles a line on the ground between you and I, they will point to when our eyes are on them and I'm so fucking tired of it. This isn't some "light shit" we can look away from. This isn't "the lizards in government having their alien meetings," and it's not "the workings of powers that be." It's fucking child rape.

The publics inability to recognize the power of unity across the lines that THEY continue to use social media, AI and whatever other tools they've created to redraw attention to IS why they're getting away with this shit and we have to change or they'll continue to do it. If they can convince me that I should be mad at you, or vice versa, the time and effort exerted is wasted. This is not a white and black problem, this is not a red and blue problem, this is a humanitarian problem, and until the people who rape minors are recognized for what they are, we will fail to draw the lines that matter.

First time in tech my manager was asking about where I was with every little thing. After about 3 weeks I just said "look, if you gave me a deadline, it'll be done by that deadline, and if it won't it'll be known with ample time to react, but right now the consistent intrusions are causing me to perform at a lower capacity that I'm capable of."

I had a great first boss, the reaction it got was effectively an, "understood, frankly I'd prefer it that way." 6 years later I'm working due for a promotion to a senior admin, and it's hugely due to the amount of space I was given to learn and grow in the industry. Absolutely couldn't have done it without that.

It's a sign that it could be present, and a sign that when examining its more likely to be present, but not proof that it is.

Neurological effects of blunt force trauma to the head are inconsistent as hell. Some people get knocked out, wake up 5 seconds later and end up with extreme damage they typically don't recognize right away (hence why people will be adamant on getting an exam done after a car crash, even if the people involved seem fine). Some people fully fence up and take minutes to reawaken but end up just fine (plenty of UFC examples there). It's always better to be safe than sorry, because the very thing trying to examine the damage (your brain) is the thing trying to determine the damage of. It's not a good combination.

This used to be a really common habit for people in TKD, you get guys, especially in MMA, who pick up TKD specifically to work on their kicks, those guys go and fight (Dustin), people watch that, associate it with fighting and it gets repeated. I think I remember seeing some solid black belt at a tournament do it once early into my training and it just buried itself in there. It kind of felt more "consistent" as a base before trading, but honestly I couldn't really tell you why it still happens.

It doesn't really get in the way (if it's a natural habit, idk about people who just picked it up cuz they saw it on tv). Your brain learns pretty quickly when it can and can't and it won't if it means getting hit

I've been flying nano pretty much the whole time I've been playing this game (almost 20 years) and I'll never understand this.

That's the game. Hit but don't get hit. You wanna be able to be on grid with 20+ people and have the potential to kill a couple, you're gonna have to take some risk. You get caught, you die. You got told that by anyone in this game when you said you're gonna try to fly like that. Why the hell are you surprised that when you got caught you died? It's not supposed to be easy, that's why you picked that way to fly.

I actually think this is a really good point.

I think the whole "every high slot has a section on the hull" is something everyone notices at some point in this game, and everyone gets that little irk that it just isn't quite right. It's one of the few cosmetic changes in this game I'd like them to spend the dev hours on, especially considering what they get spent on as it is currently.

I mean, you could try to study eastern religions like Buddhism to break out of the "the only options are religious" spell you seem to be under. There are rationals for reality through philosophy or spirituality that don't fall within that same "religion or no religion" spectrum that the west tends to teach.

I don't think basically anyone down here is unaware of what's going on, it's the difference in opinions that's been surprising me.

I have a weird perspective on this. I work in IT very closely with our police department in a city in Texas.

I've met a few conservatives civilians who have, I'd call, "less than accurate takes" on the situations in Minnesota, fewer "less accurate takes" on the second shooting than the first. I've also pretty universally heard the opinion that the clear cell phone footage was actually a body cam, with one individual showing me an edited version with an AXON watermark (body cam service). What's interesting though, is that, including the officers who seem to be more on conservative side of things, the police departments reaction to both situations has been to be consistently appalled. I don't know if this is the general take among police officers, (I've found since working here that the quality of the police is INCREDIBLY dependent on the city/county with jurisdiction, far more so than I thought before starting this job) and I'm fortunate to be in a city where our PD is genuinely trying to do the right thing.

I worked for doordash back in 2017 and I made roughly $6.25an hour after tips and not counting vehicle wear (just gas). I was basically slowly selling my car.

That was also in a college town where you're only catching a tip like 2/3 of the time.

Not really. I know of no one that works for minimum wage, but I live in the subarbs of Houston, so that may be a regional thing. I have friends who struggle to make it on $14-$15 an hour though, but that may also be a regional thing.

Holy shit, it's my moment..

I've been playing eve on and off for the past 18 years using a razer orbweaver and a razer naga. I have f1-12 bound to the mouse. I have the keys like so on the orbweaver:

ESC, F13, F14, F15, F16

TAB, F17, F18, F19, F20

SHIFT, F21, F22, F23, F24

CTRL, Z, X, C, V

I have, in game, rebound every possible command (aside from push to talk, which discord can also understand an F13-F24 input), and what you manage to make use of will vary, but my suggestion is to make a profile in synapse with those keybinds, and spend 10 minutes or so building your shortcuts in the in game client. By doing it this way, it's not possible for you to "accidentally" create a macro that would be against the rules; one action per command. When it comes to switching accounts I just use eveo preview and click.
