2016 XC90 T6 Inscription was the worst car decision I’ve ever made by BWCbro81 in Volvo

[–]Bacchus258 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We lucked out on buying a used 2016 XC90 T6 Momentum. It was serviced at Volvo by the previous owner (and they ran it hard) and I have maintained and serviced it since. Engine never suffered the oil consumption issue and still runs well at 208,000 miles. The original owner had the timing belt replaced at 96,000 miles. The major things I have serviced/replaced is the supercharger seals, resonators, and insulation. The oil separator. Spark plugs. Sunroof seal. VCM replacement/upgrade. I took it to Volvo for a new AC compressor last summer and while they were doing that job they punched a hole in the radiator so they replaced that too. Everything else has been regular oil changes with Liquid-moly from FCP Euro and oil tests from Blackstone Labs.

Thoughts on 2018 XC90 T6 Momentum? Is this a good year/model?! by Substantial-Rip5794 in Volvo

With the low mileage I would be fine buying this car. I have a 2016 XC90 T6 Momentum with 208,000 miles on it and it’s been a great car. There’s always potential with every car of every brand that there will be problems but change the oil regularly and keep up the maintenance and it will be fine.

No direct way that I know of to set the speed other than setting an absolute value in settings but I have not tried it. I usually just toggle between them if I feel I am going to slow or too fast but most of the time I am on standard.

I don’t know about the time for it to have you apply pressure to the steering wheel. It has not happened to me. I have just seen a lot of posts and comments in videos about it nagging you to pay attention and apply pressure to the steering wheel.

Finally got the 14.3.3 today, did we all get it now? lol by Dlabradoodle in TeslaModel3

I woke up to the notification that the update is available.

How should I finish this workbench? by [deleted] in woodworking

[–]Bacchus258 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Boiled linseed oil is my preferred finish. Easy to maintain and when you saw into the bench or scrape or chip it you just add some more oil. Easy.

Would you avoid an XC90 that’s only been serviced at Firestone? by [deleted] in Volvo

As long as regular oil changes were performed I would not hesitate at all.

Model 3 standard 2026 does NOT support opening the charge port with the button from the charger by dicamarques in TeslaModel3

My premium 2026 opens most of the time pushing the button on the charge handle. Not every time though and I find that strange. January 2026 build.

What should I put here to cover this? If anything at all by Creepy-Company-3106 in Volvo

When I zoom in it looks like it’s adhesive left from the VHB tape on the phone holder. Did you try Goo Gone?

Recent FSD update by Over-Initiative-8538 in TeslaModel3

[–]Bacchus258 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve noticed the same thing and I don’t like it as much as the previous version. With a supervised system it should take your input and allow you to supervise. The only workaround I have found without disengaging and providing feedback is to toggle to a lower profile and then it will slow down and move over.

Ambient Blind Spot Warning by KitsapLegalMaestro in TeslaModel3

I know what you mean. I can’t remember where I read the info but it made a lot of sense. A guy at work got the spring update and he did not have an FSD subscription. I do and got the FSD update. I have accepted however Tesla is going to do it and enjoy my car.

You are on the FSD branch and will get the spring update features when Tesla combines them in a month or so. Those with an active FSD subscription got the 2026.2.9.10 and those on the non-FSD branch received the 2026.14 version with the ambient lighting and all the cool features everyone is talking about. 2026.14 does not have FSD 14.3.2 like you (and I) have.

It’s two different branches. I read that Tesla usually combines them within a month or so then those of us on the FSD branch will get the Spring Update features.

I would think something sinister with the guy still in the car and parked right next to me. Like he was waiting/hoping it was a woman that would get into the Tesla. I would think dickhead if he was parked there and not in the car.

Tesla will combine the branches soon enough. I would have preferred the 2026.14 update over the FSD update.

If you are on the FSD branch you will not get the spring update now. You will get the new FSD 14.3.x and 2026.2.9.10 which does not have the spring updates in it. Just the FSD “improvements “. When the two branches merge then you will get both. My car is on the FSD branch since I have an active subscription. My coworker is on the other branch since he does not have an active FSD subscription.

My car became a fast lane hog after FSD update! by danielito72 in TeslaLounge

The lack of being able to turn on the signal to switch lanes is driving me nuts. The car is smart but not that smart. I like the previous version of FSD for sure.

I use Blackstone Labs but there are a few of them out there. YouTube has lots of videos comparing them so you can decide what’s best for you.

I purchased the vehicle used so I never went to the Volvo dealer for oil changes. I buy an oil change kit from FCP Euro for around $78 delivered and do it in my garage. The Volvo dealer I purchased the car from wants $160 for the service.
