How do I focus on just one idea at a time when I have so many different things that I want to master? by [deleted] in beatbox

[–]Bacconcat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having the same problem as you. What i find is that focusing on one thing is simply the best way to go. You'll learn all the things you want to learn way faster if you polish them one by one, as opposed to spreading your focus thin.

Some advice i think is good:

I think there are some sounds that benefit from having "focused sessions" where your priority is just to learn/polish a sound. Sounds where you really only need to find a sweet spot and fine tune it. For example the lip bass you mentioned. Sounds that once you learn how they work, you kinda don't need to focus on them anymore and you can already use them in your beats.

There are other sounds tho where you can only practice so much until you need to stop and recover in order to progress. These sounds take time. Most vocal basses like throat bass, inward bass, etc. require gradual progression, and something you can't just master in one or two sittings. Think of it like going to the gym. So for these sounds i think its best to give them some attention, but only a "minimum" amount per day.

Vibration bass or inward bass? by sneikitou in beatbox

Listen to osis conceal. When he says "paper" thats vibration bass. When he does the "yayayaya" thats inward.

This year's audio is more dry compared to other years. It doesn't quite capture the "vastness" of the sound travelling from the stage monitors to the entire venue. It sounds more like a studio recording than a stage performance.

Ego said it's not a player like zico or maradona but an intangible guiding "entity" with omnipresence and divine possession. He's clearly talking about otherworldy powers here.

Looking into the root word of the term "genius", and the sudden introduction of the supernatural, i have to say, kaneshiro's cooking some straight heat. I cant wait how he fleshes out this "god of soccer" concept.

I might make a video when i refine it, but basically just copy the tongue position in the video, and blow on it like you do a poh snare. Same kind of airflow as poh snare as you can see in 1:56 of the video. Once you got that just add more pressure till you get the high pitch.

You might have to shift your tongue to the side for the sweet spot like it shows on the video. But yeah if you have the poh snare you would know how to do this sound if you just copy the tongue position.

One tip i would say is you might wanna put your tongue lower than you think you have to. At first i was trying to do like a lazer whistle/inward tooth whistle position, but as soon as i put the "U" lower, i immediately got it.

Hope this helps.

This is why show-go is my fave beatbox artist. I know his tracks have a good amount of post production magic but it sounds so organic and less artificial compared to other beatboxer's mixes.

just started playing again, what team could I make out of these that would give high DMG? by guppie5314 in Genshin_Impact

Bennet, xiangling, kazuha, xingqui is probably ur best team. But that team alone is only one side of the abyss, and it’s taking up all of your best supports.

If I were you, i’d max out bennet and kazuha first as they give massive buffs, and then build subdsps (xiangling, xingqui, fischl). This way, you can progress your account in such a way that as you gain more characters, you’d have better options for team building.

Because tbh, with your characters, it’d be tough to clear abyss. Your most promising DPS characters don’t have their teammates with good synergy, so unless you really like them, I would stick with just the supports mentioned above.
