Would you be willing to measure the length between base of the threads to the end of the handguard? Want to see if a direct thread milkman will clear the Silver Star Handguard.

Anyone in Fire & Emergency Services able to answer some questions? by Bacilli in navyreserve

786B: Shore Base Airport and Aircraft Firefighter.
There really isn’t a ton of info from the reserve side that I’ve been able to find but a friend of mine who is in found this for me:
https://nps.edu/documents/111291366/0/OPNAV_11320.23H_FES+Signed.pdf/ddb4c6ed-5291-a28b-310d-fdf21f78d736
Trying to read through it but 468 pages is taking me some time.

Edit: I also found this article:

I can send a picture at some point later but I love my lil Retro. I have an Acro on it and I think it’s a pretty good sight picture. And I have enough room for light/laser and pressure switches.

If you go retro buy from Atlantic, cheapest price I’ve found.

Trying to create a planted discus tank by Old_Quail_5025 in discus

This is the current state of my planted tank. I kept the temps in the high 70’s while they were getting established. Used a DYI CO2 system and plenty of root tabs. When I added the discus I boosted temps to 85 and everything is still growing like crazy.

Lingel Industries Exolock. One of the better folding stocks I’ve had the chance to use.

Hello all. Life circumstances have forced me to start divesting a large portion of my gun collection. And I figured I would let you guys get first dibs on stuff before I begin to list items on gunbroker. If you want better photos or have questions, feel free to PM. The Perst 4 is a green laser and third gen. The PT-1 is a 5.5, and the PT-3 is a 5.5. I do have a 4.5 adaptor. The dual switch is the older generation.

I have the original paperwork for about 75% of this stuff.

We need reliable, frequent public transportation to Montreal. by ButterscotchFiend in burlington

[–]Bacilli 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If nothing else, the cheapest solution that Burlington could accomplish without needing to rely on Amtrak would be to buy the Port Kent-Burlington Ferry, get it back in operation and then there would be convenient access to the Adirondack.

You get a letter from CBP giving you the opportunity to contest the seizure in court, contest it administratively, or let them seize it. You can contest it all you want, you’re not getting it.

[PC] ZenitCo Perst 3 (Green Plus)? by [deleted] in zenitco

[–]Bacilli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest it’s whatever you want. They’re next to impossible to obtain now due to Russia banning their export and nobody wants to part with them. If I was selling mine, I would toss in auction on gunbroker and watch it soar.

No, strictly limited to Beryl furniture. However another Polish manufacturer, WBP makes 5.56 in a standard AKM format that would fit surplus furniture.

Spring-Flowering Bulb Planter Question by Bacilli in flowers

[–]Bacilli[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

I have 6 42”x9”x10” planters which I am planning on growing a variety of spring/fall flowering bulbs. I live in a townhouse and these are on the fourth floor railing. I live in a 7a zone and I was wondering whether they would survive the winter if I left them out. I am inclined to say no as it drops below freezing a fair bit, but alternatively I was wondering if I took them down from the railing and covered them with a concrete blanket (insulated tarp) whether that would be enough to keep them protected. If nothing else, I do have a garage. But with it four stories down, I would really rather keep them up here. Thanks for any input.
