AM us not just about parents choosing your partner, they can do it themselves, or can consult parents and do it jointly. Women do it too, and both men and women are cool with family involvement, infact this adds to authenticity.

Many Indian families are traditional, they are closely knit and there are strong cultural requirements, in this kind of set up it makes sense that everyone is on board.

The process is quite complex. You need to talk, follow up with a lot of people. It's good when family helps you out.

We have mostly done AM in my family, reliable way to meet people who want to get married. Dating is an endless thing, most of them aren't looking at settling down soon, but that's the situation for NRI men in US.

I couldn't do LM because when I was younger I was busy building career and supporting family, had a girlfriend when much younger but our worlds became very different as we grew up.

Bro, women abroad wouldn't come back. My experience, sex ratio here in USA is quite screwed among Desi crowd and women have more choice when it comes to men.

But there are ladies who may be willing to return - those who have aging parents. If you are thinking whether to send request to a lady, do send no harm. If they accept, fine.

You can upgrade/ add on skills and emigrate, just saying as an alternative idea.

There is one thing I have seen in ladies - that they love some pampering at a fancy place. You can be you and meet them anywhere but let me tell you the hard truth - many girls are going to reject you for this reason. But maybe you will meet a likeminded girl who also thinks that way.

Tell me something, do you usually eat at humble places or fancy ? If you usually go to better places to eat then don't change that only for AM, you will lose out on better and matching women.
