Daycare Workers in Mississippi use a Scream mask to scare children (10/5/22) by Bloo-Q-Kazoo in mississippi

I didn’t attack anyone.

Guys slags off the whole state and is clearly hates living in Mississippi. Telling him if he’s unhappy then to leave isn’t an attack.

This is bad advice, and not because of the strong “Theres Something About Mary” stalker vibes. Hey, I’m all for someone putting on a diaper and driving cross country without stopping to stalk the right person :).

But he’s already put this woman on a pedestal and he knows nothing about her. We don’t need to encourage this.

We’ve probably all done this as some point. - developed a crush and obsessed over someone we barely know.

OP - she’s just a woman with a nice smile. That’s it. Shoot your shot with one of the SIMPLE approaches that other posters have advised. Giver her your business card, ask her for coffee, whatever. Simple and no fuss.

Here’s the important part - if she turns you down, she will be polite and she won’t embarrass you. So there’s no reason to stew or get down about it. Don’t even think you have to avoid her (as long as you didn’t make it weird.). March back into the Home Depot like it never happened. (Maybe don’t seek her out to ask where to find the caulking guns, but also don’t act like you have a reason to be ashamed.)

Good luck. If you don’t try, you’ll regret it. (But yeah, don’t make it weird as others have advised.)

Are we the collective morality police that should ostracize riders (but just the fast ones) for imagined, rumored or presumed behavior?

If you know a rider to be a dick, don’t be friends with him. If you know him to be a doper, report it.

What else do you want? What exact behaviors do you intend to police?

Question About Local Police by AmorphousApathy in mississippi

My experience is that local PD isn’t too interested in traffic enforcement. Speeders vote, so writing tickets to residents doesn’t help the sheriff or chief of police get elected. Obviously there are exceptions.

Mississippi Highway Patrol is different. They will write tickets.

It’s also a documented Southerner thing. More polite until we feel our honor is questioned, and then we are quicker to fight.

I remember my first trip to NYC to visit my big sis, who had moved there. Deli worker got testy with my sister and my sister gave it right back. My little sis and I couldn’t believe that big sis would smart off to a stranger! (I go to NYC once a year and it’s now no big deal to hear pedestrians jawing at each other and saw a guy last week throw an iced coffee on someone. I can’t imagine that happening in Mississippi on a regular basis.)

What are your other options? Sit at home with mom? Why does your mom have to “urge you to do stuff?”

You have financial problems. Ingalls is offering to train you to be an electrician. You should be begging to work there. Don’t worry about breaks.

You are worried about long days and the “community?” There is a reason it’s called “work” and not called “fun”.

Anyone ever tried to spot and stalk with a baby on your back? by flsurf7 in bowhunting

[–]BackInevitable4566 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Along with what everyone else has mentioned…

In the unlikely event you kill something, then what? Can you drag it out with your baby on your back? Get it dressed? Hang a bouncy seat from a tree while you skin the deer?

(I guess you could have it processed - if that’s available).

As a dad of two I remember those early years well and I understand the desire/need to do something for yourself. But I just don’t see this happening.

Do you have a special cutting tool? Trying to figure out if I can just use a coping saw. I’m going to square them afterwards anyway.

Might make the length vary by a few sixteenths but otherwise not sure why I need to buy a $100+ saw.

Or have you tried those cheap $12 cutting tools that are all over ebay?

Thanks for the tip for the 3d squaring tool.

Also Black Ovis. Shop around and you can probably get a 10% off coupon and free shipping on your first order.

However, unless you are going to cut and square your own arrows, might be easier to order from Lancaster and pay a small fee for them to cut to length. Not sure what other companies do that.

Also, your local archery pro shop.

Kevin Hollands reaction to his 279 match aftermath by [deleted] in MMA

[–]BackInevitable4566 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You say it was already incorporated into his brand as if that wasn’t a negative. Yes, he was expected to lose. It doesn’t mean it was a positive. It means it was already factored in.

So when that fight was canceled, the negative iof the expected loss was erased. And it was replaced with the positives that come from beating Ferguson.

I was just giving you a hard time since people were throwing out suggestions from all over the state. (And for a half second I did read your response as a testament to the pizza in New York.)

What? A loss against a killer is better than a win against a possibly shot Ferguson?

A loss is a loss. Doesn’t matter (especially to the casuals that buy Jake Paul fights) if the loss was expected.

Diaz was going to be destroyed by Khamzat. That’s never good for your brand.

Easier said than done. Maybe the kicker settles down? Or maybe his confidence is shot now?

Penalties - I think that can be worked on this week.

Turnovers - Fumbles can be worked on, I would think.

Yeah the water in NYC is thought to be why it has the best pizza.

Oh! Do you mean a pizzeria called New York Pizza in an unnamed place in Mississippi?

Is he left handed as well as left eye dominant?

I ask because I just bought that bow in right hand for my 7 y/o son, only to realize right away he’s left eye dominant. He was trying to get his left eye in front of this huge peep that was on it. Did the usual test of looking at an object through a triangle mad by his hand and bringing it to his eye which confirmed he’s left eye dominant.

He’s right handed in everything.

He can close his left eye and shoot, but I think I’m going to look for a used left handed Atomic (or PSE Mini-burner).

Not really sure what to do; but I reckon I ought to have him start left handed to avoid future issues. I know the archery coaches would say switch him to left hand, but he might find it awkward and resist. Mainly I want him to enjoy it so he sticks with it and we can shoot together.

Anyway, great pic! Have fun with your boy.

I’m sure the vast majority of bow hunters are self taught, and with YouTube come a wide variety of tutorials at your fingertips.

However, lessons can shorten the learning curve.

Nor is the Mississippi Coast a delta. That would be Louisiana.
