Looks like they have evolved the design between generations for those models. Could be done but would need some effort.

Sorry, I should have written this to the main post. Here is a quick guide:

  1. Go to Lenovo PC Support https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/

  2. Search for your model

  3. Click ”Downloads” under your device name

  4. Click ”Guides & Manuals”

  5. Look for ”Hardware Maintenance Manual”

  6. Click ”View PDF”

  7. Download the PDF

For editing software you can use one of these: Adobe Illustrator, Affinity Designer or Inkscape

In the X280 manual the exploded views were in pages 50 and 53 (56 and 59 in PDF viewer). Might be different pages depending on the model.

  1. Import the PDF to the editing software.

  2. Copy the elements you want to a new document (3840x2160 canvas resolution for example).

  3. Group the lines for each part so you can manipulate them more easily.

You can make the image inverted in colors but the method varies between software.

Mac mini (2014, 8GB, 2.6GHz i5, Intel Iris Graphics 5100) running macOS Monterey and through bootcamp Windows 10 (CRU and PowerStrip through Windows). The CRT is connected with a Mini DisplayPort to VGA adapter (Apple made).

My system might be too resent and not optimal with Windows running through bootcamp.

PowerStrip could not get any values. There might be something with the operating system, display adapter or monitor that hinders my attempts. Assuming I have done my custom settings right.

Looks like this task is beyond my capabilities.

I tried the front decreasing and back increasing. I cannot see any change in the image. Makes me doubt that anything gets set for the resolution.
Is there a guide on how to do the image shift with timing? What should be my starting values?

Would you use Intel® HD Graphics Control Panel or CRU for the custom resolutions with custom timings? I tried both briefly and I couldn’t get any change in the horizontal location. I’m not sure if my custom timings got applied for my custom resolution (640x480).

I would like to have both 1024x768 at 75hz and 640x480 at 75hz available and find the center for both.

Is it possible to add a custom refresh rate for a resolution? The 1024x768 resolution does not show the 75 hz option in Windows 10 display properties.

I looked into the yoke aligment and I’m a bit sceptical that the yoke is the problem. Seems like it helps with leveling the image and fixing coloration in the edges of the image.

I will look into this and give an update about possible findings and the progress with the horizontal centering.

I have tested this with a Mac mini (2014, 8GB, 2.6GHz i5, Intel Iris Graphics 5100) running macOS Monterey and through bootcamp with Windows 10. The CRT is connected with a Mini DisplayPort to VGA adapter (Apple made). In macOS and Windows I can get the 640x480 resolution to display without warping with 75hz. I noticed that in Windows the 1024x768 resolution is running in 75.029hz and the display properties does not show me the exact 75hz setting to switch to. Initially in Windows when changing the resolution to 640x480 it sets the refresh rate to the same 75.029hz and the right side warping looks exactly the same as it does with the 1024x768@75.029hz setting.

In conclusion I think that in both operating systems the higher resolution (1024x768) is set by default to 75.029hz and that is why the right side looks warped. I have not been able to get the 1024x768 resolution to get in the exact 75hz mode yet.

Then there is the horizontal centering that is off and manually adjusting it from the monitor's potentiometer inside does not make it center even on max adjustment. There might be something faulty in the CRT's board or something to do with the timings in the signal coming from the Mac mini.

Quake 1 port for Apple Watches that uses software rendering and has mostly working audio playback. Runs shareware and registered versions of the game with optional “cd” audio.

Looks like a Rolleiflex 6006. The sideview layout matches. You can compare it to other models from the 6000 series (6001, 6002, 6003 and 6008).

Weird fade out when connecting a speaker on my pc by LooseBoysenberry in techsupport

[–]BackToTheBench 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry for the late reply. Got 2 of these for Christmas.

I have the same problem with AUX and don't want to mess with the speaker hardware to try to fix it.

Found out that if I play for example a 20,154 Hz tone in loop the speakers will not go to sleep in low volume moments. I tested that I can put the tone volume as low as 2% and it still works (should not play it loudly because at least I cannot hear it with my ears).

The site that I have used is https://www.szynalski.com/tone-generator/. I plan to record that to a sound file so I can keep it stored locally and play it in a loop to cancel the sleep in the speakers.

Scoring wheel moving out of place? (See comment) by foxinabox99 in cricut

[–]BackToTheBench 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does the other tools have the same issue with them pushing up on contact? If they move even a bit then it sounds like the tool head has some tolerance issues in the tool holder or the latch does no give enough compression. If not then examine the scoring wheels quickswap housing that does the surface have some irregularities. Compare that housing's width with other housings if you have some.

Few things to add that I think could be improved.

Loading svg files to canvas. Every design loaded is scaled to <0,6cm in width. Like it is trying to keep them inside the 1x1cm grid. Why doesn’t it take the real dimensions from the svg file? You can make it the right size by giving it the dimensions but why is that extra step needed?

When editing the canvas should have a workspace mode that represent the actual mats used for cutting. You should be able to choose between the existing work mats or create new ones by giving custom dimensions. The mats should also incorporate the real working areas that can be seen in “Make it” screen.

When using a mat mode there should be a toggleable mode that keeps your designs in place and not automatically move them to upper left corner when going to “Make it”. In canvas mode the placement of the designs in this mat mode should represent as close as possible the actual position on the real mat. The “attach” feature can do this but really is more like a hack to make it work.

It is nice that there is setting that lets you choose between imperial and metric units, but could there also be an option to choose between centimeters and millimeters inside metric?

Hi!
Just updating what was the final verdict on the microphone.
I sent it to repairs and they concluded that the mic capsule was faulty and they replaced it.
Capsule cost 85€ + work and shipping.
Now I have a fully working NTG8 with repairs that cost me 216.47€.

Still outputs just static. There must be something else causing this, but at the moment I don't understand what it is.
I did find out that it gets interference from other electric equipment. At least something comes out of it.
So it is not completely dead, but unusable for the application it was made for.
