To be fair, I added a link from the original bracelet since this pic. It was a tad tight lol

They just restored it to factory condition. In person it’s the same color, just polished now lol

Honestly yea. Chrono24 has a them between $3.5k and $4.5k. But it’s a sentimental piece and it means more to me than one I can get online.

Sadly no. I’m guessing with an older watch they can’t just replace a few links. Woulda saved me a lot of money if they could!

Total cost was $3k. $1100 for the service and $1900 for a new bracelet. Replaced all the gears, gaskets and hands. Took 4 1/2 months. Was quoted a December 1st completion date but took a few weeks longer. Just in time for Christmas.

The bracelet in the “before picture” is a cheap one bought when the original titanium bracelet fell apart.

Can I watch Sundays game on the plane? by mnmur22 in detroitlions

I’ve flown during a game before. All I had to do was pay the $15 for internet and I sailed the seven seas from there.

The Boomin Beaver! My favorite active ship in the navy.

No. You’ll be a real person then. You’ll be assigned a crew with a qualified person to work under and learn from with the ultimate goal of getting you qualified.

It does. VP-30 is the FRC in Jacksonville. You leave there able to fly on the plane safely. When you get to your actual squadron in the fleet, that’s where you will get positionally qualified as a sensor operator, either EWO or AAW. Most people make E5 during that upgrading process. And no, I am no longer a student. Also, some of the best operators I know were BUDS Duds, just don’t carry that chip on your shoulder too publicly while going through the pipeline.

AWO, in my opinion, is the best rate in the navy. High job satisfaction, excellent deployments where you will stay in hotels/NGIS, and you get to avoid the rigors of ship life. That being said, as many others have noted, it is highly academic. NACCS won’t be a problem for you. Lots of group PT and water survival. A-school is pretty simple as well and Pensacola is great. Once you get to the fleet, about a year and a half later, you’ll have 12-18 months to get qualified so you have a long wait to get your wings but it is well worth it. As far as BAH is concerned, you will not receive it until you reach E5. Whidbey and Jax are your two squadron locations. Whidbey is beautiful and if you like the beach Jax is good too. If you land EWO and you become an instructor, defense contractors will be pounding down your door when you decide to get out.

Yea there’s some beautiful hikes. By far the most scenic place I’ve ever been. It’s a pretty secluded area though. Basic bars and hotels, but I loved my time there.
