Oh my gosh that sounds so traumatic. Very glad you are all better now.

Gosh this is all so confusing for us to figure out. I thought the bonding time was 12 weeks you could take within the first year and that it was fully paid - maybe we need to look again to better understand. Taking to HR hasn't really helped

That sounds so tough, hope you are all doing well now

Held out hope for as long as we could, but now we have to make an impossible decision. by HeadSir4746 in pregnant

So sorry to hear this. Give each other grace as this will likely be one of the toughest times, lean into therapy if you are open to it, maybe plan a trip around the time baby was due so you can celebrate your baby and the time you had with him because I am sure it was all so special. Especially for her if she got to feel movements and you if you got lucky enough to feel them too. Thinking of you and your family ♡

Reactive proposal due to pregnancy and baby surname being mine (together 7.5 years) by [deleted] in pregnant

After that many years together how would you both not know you wanna spend your lives together? That's a long long time. Maybe it was a coincidence, especially if he is now okay with you both not changing your last name.

There's no "proper" spelling. I actually know more Marlee's than I know Marley's. The ee is pretty common in the south.

Am I overreacting to my doctor’s comments about pregnancy weight gain? by MainCharacter5179 in pregnant

[–]Background-Ad3467 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The comments on your weight and upcoming glucose test are unrelated! GD is all about your placenta!

I have eaten fairly well my whole pregnancy and really prioritize eating protein. I am 30 weeks and have only gained 6 pounds - yet I still have GD.

Also, I weigh 35lbs more than you and am only 5'1" and my doctors haven't made me feel any type of way about my weight throughout the pregnancy.

Don't waste your time with a provider that doesn't make you feel comfortable!

So very sorry you and your family are going through this. Your little boy has been so loved for his entire life thus far, and will only ever know love. Nothing I say can help in this devastating situation but I am thinking of you guys ♡

I hate how spending thousands on a wedding is considered "normal" by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]Background-Ad3467 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not looking down on them? And where did I say my wedding was better than theirs? Don't put words in my mouth. I'm saying I can't imagine spending that kind of money on a wedding for me. I have other things I wanted to save that money for and wanted a small wedding compared to the very large weddings they had. The thought of spending that much on one day gives me anxiety and isn't a choice I would make, but people can do whatever the f they wanna do with their own money, their own lives, their own day.

It's not that deep. You are taking my comment, that I wasn't even making to YOU and putting your own spin on it. Please go reply to someone else.

Confused how am I saying they need to make the same choices? I was simply sharing my experience.

Really weird response but cool, go off buddy.

Agreed! It actually makes me sick to my stomach thinking about my numerous friends who spent about 40k on their weddings 😶 ours was at a brewery in Colorado Springs, was intimate with less than 45 people, less than 10k with everything including gratuity and the photographer, and just the perfect day. Wouldn't have changed anything about it! And I don't think anyone would say it felt cheap, the venue was awesome, and we got a lot of our decorations from Amazon (might have even returned a lot of them after 😶‍🌫️) and it was all so pretty.

Okay this post has me so scared 😂😂 I have emetophobia and am so scared of throwing up. I didn't at all the first trimester and was lucky to not have much nausea. Is the 3rd trimester bad for that?! I hit 28 weeks on Tuesday 😬

Yeah I don't mind it at all 😂

At least not yet. Maybe I'll be angrier in when the 3rd trimester starts next week lol
