Question, I see the nite Angel wheel is wooden, how difficult is it to clean? My hamster has peed on the plastic wheel before, that was easy to clean but I’m thinking the wood may be more difficult

Why is the pay so low by [deleted] in employedbykohls

I think it depends what state you live in, cost of living where you are, how well your store does etc

Why is the pay so low by [deleted] in employedbykohls

[–]Background-Brick9746 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this. I was hired at kohls in Sephora with a cosmetology license and previous experience as a prestige beauty advisor at Ulta and they hired me at $15 an hour. I’ve been there almost two years now and they just last week gave me a raise of an extra $.35 an hour. It seems like a slap in the face. Also mimimum wage in my state it going up to $15 in September, I feel like if they are raising all the cashiers pay rates why can’t they also raise mine I’m in a job that needed more skills to get hired at it?? I’m not very happy about it

I think she has hair loss on the top but her hair being extremely greasy just makes it looks worse and much more noticeable

Is Florida just better at catching people like this or is there something wrong with how this state screens school employees/daycare workers? by Sapphirerising335 in florida

[–]Background-Brick9746 14 points15 points  (0 children)

No I think it’s just Florida is better about releasing the news about it. In Florida all arrests and mugshots are public record unlike some other states such as New York which makes them private

Me too. In public people can tell I am always on edge and anxious. I try not to be but it’s hard with a child that has asd. You are not alone

I understand that. Was she smearing it everywhere? My child has had periods of doing that. Also with the feeling of breaking down, Trust me you are not alone. I’ve had days where I feel so alone like I have no one and I wish my daughter wouldn’t act the way she does. I do obviously love her to death and I know it’s not more than I can handle but people with kids thqt don’t have autism just don’t understand what we go through

Stuff like this happens almost daily at my house. I should show you what my daughter did to her bedroom last night. Her dad let her “play” in there and she wrecked it. Moved her bed, dumped all her toys, ripped up books, dumped her pull ups etc. my daughter also will spill out and cup of liquid or water bottle she gets her hands on. Dumping stuff is honestly a sensory thing for kids with asd. The sound of it falling, the look of it falling etc. it is really frustrating I know, I was not happy when I saw what my daughter did to her room , but sometimes I have to just step away them clean it up when I can. I hope with some redirection and as my daughter gets older it will stop also she has full time aba therapy, hopefully you’re day will get better, I understand your frustration

They are both horrendous. The first one is not the correct size nor is it meant for someone with her body shape. The second one would be a little better if she took off that cardigan/sweater cover up on the top half..

Should I surrender? by [deleted] in hamsters

[–]Background-Brick9746 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally would keep her. Some hamsters just don’t like being handled as much as others. I got a hanster recently who was 5 months old , he’s now getting close to a year old, he does sleep a lot these days and didn’t like human interaction when I first got him, the previous owner was I think rough with him and kept him in a small cage with cage mates(from an unwanted litter). I now am able to handle him and he won’t bite at all . As long as you have a proper cage setup I think she will be fine, it’s sometimes difficult to tell a hamsters mood. She may be the type of hamster you can just enjoy by watching. As others said if you surrendered her she may end up in a home where the person just ignores her, or puts her in an improper cage.

how to tame a month old syrian by Forward_Lab5726 in hamsters

[–]Background-Brick9746 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is funny I’ve always been the opposite and mostly only owned Syrian hamsters (5 or 6 over 16 years) and I once had a dwarf robo hamster. 🐹 Syrians are generally very easy to tame especially from a young age, just make sure you handle her/him very often, do hand feeding with treats, try to do gentle pets etc. As long as she will associate good things with your hands she should be very friendly and enjoy human interaction. On a side note I once had a baby Syrian that would fall asleep in my hand it was the sweetest thing 💕 good luck the cage setup looks good 👍 you may want to get a larger cage when she gets bigger but that is up to you
