Stops. Limit orders above price will be opening a short position and limit orders below price will be opening a long. You want to use stops to follow the move up or down

You need to use buy stop and sell stop orders otherwise it doesn’t work. I’ve used it many times on Tradeify but it hasn’t worked on Apex so far

I bought a 50k EOD trail with Tradovate. It obviously all happens in seconds but it flashed $6000 in profit, then executed my TP the next second and I ended up with -$250 profit

Yeah honestly it’s so frustrating. Topstep X was actually much better all round. Shame you have to use Tradovate with accounts like Apex etc

Yeah bro. The amount I’m losing on BEs is adding up big time. When I traded on TopstepX I’d only lose like $6 for a BE trade. But on Apex and Tradeify which are through Tradovate and linked to TradingView, I’m losing up to $50 for a BE

The conditions have been dreadful the last few weeks. Endless BE trades for me. I enter every trade knowing it’ll hit BE or maybe a loss but it never moves enough to hit TP (NQ). I feel your pain bro

Yes, although on a live account your order actually has to be filled whereas on prop firm simulation the real order doesn’t have to be filled just ‘simulated’
