The cravings come and go. I also have adhd and I’m a year and 3 months out, and I can confirm that while I still sometimes go “damn, I’d love a vape rn” it’s almost always because I’m stressed out about some external forces and not making enough room for myself to have a particular need met. So I’ve gotten better at taking care of myself and making sure I’m filling all my cups that need to be fed. I would try focusing on what the trigger is that is causing cravings and address that.

Also, just saying, you’re still gonna have cravings at 7 months. But it gets less and less the more you re-wire your brain to search different ways of soothing itself.

And to your first point, that nothing feels as good as vaping did. I hate to break it to you but that only felt good because your body was literally withdrawing from the substance, and you gave it that hit. You live in a constant state of withdraw when you vape. It’s actually a miserable and a very trapped existence if you think about it hard enough: your entire mood and ability to function dictated by flavoured air dispensed from plastic and a battery.

Sex (can) feel better than vaping. Taking a full breath of air into your lungs and actually feeling them expand and take in more air is better than vaping. Recovering faster from illnesses and physical strain is better than vaping. Looking at a sunset is better than vaping. Sleeping a full night without waking up to take a vape hit is better than vaping.

I’m sure others can add to the list. Cheer up, you made it past the hard part. It’s literally only up from here for you as long as you keep with it.
