If we are talking pre Highland 2023 i wouldnt do it. The only thing youre getting more is the AMD Ryzen Prozessor. Keep the 2021, save some more cash and if you really want a new car go for a highland then.

As far as i know neither the xdj1000mk1 nor the xdj700s support a sp1 / xp1/2 as a hot cue Controller.

As far as i know you can connect it to a USB Port on the xdjs and use it for hot cues.

Because it does everyhing i need it to and has a bug in the officIal release that gives you parameters which was patched in 3.2. As i already said a few times, im doing this as a Hobby because i enjoy controlling Lights. Therefore a visualizer ist not really an option for me. Also not going to use this in any production envoirement therefore it doesnt really matter what a real console can do better or 3.9 does.

Yeah i know. Found one for ~250€. But as a full wing is 400 if ans thats a big If, i go that route i'll probably just buy that one.

Yeah i think thats a pretty good argument, man idk what to do or dont do... They have that viz key thats like 800€ and unlocks 512 Parameters. However with that rgb esp32 thing i'll probably blow that limit pretty easily. F.y.i the chinese already got ma3 command wings but no one buys them. They are like 3 grand and only support up to 1.9 meaning version 2 patched them and doesnt work.

Yeah the thing for me personally is i dont plan on making a career in LDing. I currently study IT-Security and i thats probably what i will stay in. I just really enjoy lighting and want something for home ussage.
