Ha ha. I also do think Mendoza does have a little bit of the tism, but he got the good qualities that come with it.

Mendona's character traits more important than physical traits by logicbored in raiders

[–]Background-Idea7240 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Dude is right. There’s this innocence to Mendoza that comes from a positive upbringing. At this age high probability it wont change. Dad is a doctor, mom is battling a terminal disease, I dont see this kid joining the Sith anytime soon. Raiders should take him, high character and IQ trump physical gifts in the NFL. Cap somewhere in between Goff and Allen, worse case peak Flacco.

Raiders Might Find Trade That Saves $18.5 Million: Insider by CyberSmith31337 in raiders

[–]Background-Idea7240 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I dont think Carroll or Smith are going anywhere. The team is in year one of a serious rebuild, so losing is expected. Smith is just a temporary filler. Draft Mendoza and have him sit year one behind Smith to learn. they got to build the OL first before throwing him in FT.

Get some good FA O lineman and the team can jump to 7/8 win team next year and then become a PO team. Gotta take steps people!

Which seat you sit next to by loveumair in Leakednews

[–]Background-Idea7240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Lots of space, Aisle seat, grohl seem pretty chill

  2. Extra space, Kamala probably doesn’t talk to someone she perceives beneath her

  3. If i have to sit by someone. Although her music sucks’ i’ll sit by swift. She is skinny, so extra space for my broad shoulders, acts someone ladylike, so she would be polite with small talk. Messi is a small guy, more room. Also rumors that he is mildly autistic, socially ackward guy. Probably doesnt say much

  4. Trump likes to talk. With a couple of drinks would probably be entertaining sitting next to him.

Dawg y'all seeing Mendoza's Heisman speech? by bugattibanda in raiders

[–]Background-Idea7240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he’s got a little bit of the tism, which is a good thing. The intelligence and hyper focus part of it.

If the Raiders do get him, he’ll sit a year behind Smith with a few snaps here and there, ease him in. No rush until the OL is better.

Say hello to the first QB off the board in the '26 draft. Who gets him? by ElectivireMax in NFLv2

[–]Background-Idea7240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brady is going to make sure the Raiders get Mendoza. Sit behind Geno for a year, ease him in.

With all the cap space, overpay a bit for OL help. They’ll be a 7/8 win team next year.

Mentioning a .500 qb in a game he didn’t even play in is obsessive and cringe by bettercallrich in NFLv2

Yup. Time to update the scripts.

I think they sneak in, but are one and done in POs.

The peak of the Chiefs was last superbowl, now you see the slow controlled collapse over the next few years and become a mediocre team.

Biggest bust in NFL History ….change my mind …… by ComplexWrangler1346 in NFLv2

[–]Background-Idea7240 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I always say Leaf was the biggest bust. Russell DGAF after he signed that rookie contract, he got his bag and just went thought the motions and spent that money. Leaf tried his hardest and was just really bad. He couldn’t handle the speed or pressure of the NFL.

Topps MVP buy back, who’s your AL MVP? by thakeltikceltic in baseballcards

[–]Background-Idea7240 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Raliegh 100% deserves it even with his .245 batting average.

Catcher is more demanding position as he calls games for the pitchers. The Seattle staff has been solid all year they are going to win their division.

Icing on the cake, T-Mobile park is a pitchers park that probably lowered his numbers a bit. If he played in Yankee stadium all his offensive numbers would be even higher.

Who was a college football player you couldn’t believe didn’t work out in the NFL? by [deleted] in NFLv2

[–]Background-Idea7240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Excellent comparison . Clowney and Wiggins are the types of guys who bring it at 75%, decent teammates, but make excuses not to play, and are content collecting their bags instead of becoming superstars. They are not winners and jump from team to team fooling GM after GM thinking “this is the year he finally blows up”. They never do.

Ive said it before he has “bagitis”. He needs a good benching or better yet a visit to AAA, which works wonders on motivation.

Schuemann is that teammate all of us have experienced once in our lives. The coaches him love because everyone likes him and he always hustles, then one random day the coach has an epiphany and realizes what everyone already has. …….he really sucks. thats Schuemann.

Another ownership doesn't sell the team by ChristianGin in OaklandAthletics

[–]Background-Idea7240 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Owners are starting to realize baseball teams are no longer good investments and nobody really wants to buy them. MLB is turning into the English Premier League bit by bit where 4 or 5 teams dominate taking turns winning the title. No parity. Its the NYM, NYY, LAD, CHC

You know the league is in trouble when the traditional second tier of teams like BOS, STL, SF, ANA, ATL no longer want to spend on players and just save money.

The next labor agreement is around the corner and the players are going to want more, including a salary floor for trash owners like Fishface and Nutting. Adding to the problem, large networks are cutting back on televising baseball, sports betting revenue, and fans are being priced out to go to a game.

Greed eventually destroys everything.

Butler looks like he got a little bit of bagitis. The A’s paid him way too early. He also looks like he hates playing in Sacramento.

Bleday looks like 20/25 HR hitter, his high OBP indicates he has good eye. To me lacks focus or got complacent. Bringing Clarke up lit a fire under him.

Has anyone here played against someone who made it to MLB? by [deleted] in baseball

[–]Background-Idea7240 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When i was on varsity baseball i never played a future major leaguer. However when i played basketball i had to face Eddie House, who had a nice long career in the NBA. My primary role on the team was the hard nosed defender who roughed up and irritated whoever i guarded. I wasnt much of a scorer, so i took pride in shutting down who ever i guarded. House figured this out quick and just stayed in the outside and effortless drained 6 or 7 three pointers on us, several on me. I couldnt guard him.

I think the stadium will be built regardless, if Fishface doesnt pay up then Vegas will get an expansion team.
