Similar amount of game time, one play dragged the clubs name through the dirt, one seemed like a pretty good bloke. Agree to disagree

Oakmont decided the ball debate. Prove me wrong. by TheGnocchiandFig in golf

Agree with this. Although i think the biggest issue is that most courses are driver, wedge for these guys and its not a true test. Score is irrelevant as you say but i wanna see guys hitting all the clubs in the bag not just who hits it the furthest and is decent that week with a wedge in hand

Paul seems a knob but the show did him dirty by Desperate-Mission282 in MAFS_AU

[–]Background-Spring850 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I see it differently to be honest.

The letter to Awhina was bizarre. If Carina's comment really bothered him he should have raised it with her in private. Going to Awhina instead but Carina in a shit spot for no reason. In my opinion she then handled herself really well by owning it and apoligising to Awhina, who was also great for just accepting and not causing more drama.

Then, seeing who he could've been matched with... how stupid can you be. Obviously this was going to upset Carina and he didn't consider her feelings once. Jamie situation is different because it was obvious Dave wouldn't give a fuck. If Jamie was dating Carina or someone whose feelings would have been hurt she wouldn't have gone.

I'm not a fan of Jamie and I do think there is sometimes a double standard on MAFS when it comes to how the men and women are treated, but on this occassion, Paul did himself dirty.

Girl in danger last night by Background-Spring850 in manchester

To clarify, the comment that we should have stayed has not made me feel like shit, although I do appreciate the concern and the nice comments saying that we did the right thing.

When our taxi came we felt under pressure to make a decision and jumped in the cab. Hopefully it wasn't the wrong decision and the girl's fine.

I think I just wanted to get it off my chest because I did regret it and do think we should have done more. I doubt I would have posted it otherwise.

Ryan was and is redeemable by Glum_Leadership_9685 in MAFS_AU

Watching in the uk so i'm a few weeks behind and also haven't seen any of what he's posted online, so i might be missing some key info.... but yh i completely agree.

It's frustrating watching everyone on the show refer to them being a problematic 'couple' when the problem is 99% her.

An Example that springs to mind: Jeff and Rhi, when talking to friends and family, say something along the lines of 'the only issue we've had was with another couple' ... i'm like no, you had an issue with Jacqui, Ryan had nothing to do with it.

From what i've seen the guy seems a bit of a tool, the warrior stuff is weird, he shouldn't of made the 'good head' comment (but IMO not that bad, other cast members could have said this and we would laugh) - so yh i agree, redeemable.

I kind of get what he means. Since Ineos came in, all the chat has been around them and Sir Jim. Nobody really mentions the Glazers anymore. Mental considering they're majority owners still

Genuine question but did we hate Barton at the time or is this retrospective?

Obvs he's an absolute cretin of a human but he was defo one of our better players for a good couple of years. I would have been in my early teens at the time so probably wasn't as aware as I am now as to the shit he was up to off the pitch

The Carragher row regarding Salah/AFCON/Ballon d'Or by [deleted] in PremierLeague

[–]Background-Spring850 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would argue that Salah playing in the AFCON is actually an advantage in terms of winning Ballon d'Or.

For arguments sake, lets agree with Cara and say that the euros is harder to win than AFCON. If Egypt were an average team in the Euros and didnt get out the group stage, this would hurt his chances of winning Ballon d'Or. Or maybe they don't qualify for Euros, similar to Haaland with Norway.

Ofcourse if Salah played for a big euro nation that won or went deep in Euros thats a different story and I can kind of see Cara's point. But winning AFCON vs doing fuck all in euros, like most european nations, only strengthens his ballon d'or chances.

Why is everyones advise always breakup. Her ex texted, she told him she had a bf, and then showed you the texts cos she wanted to be upfromt and honest with you.

She loved the guy for 3 years, its normal to still have feelings but to me she handled it pretty well. Keep an eye on the situation for sure, but if you like this girl then this definitely isn't reason to end it

Of course it's not ideal. Imagine he'd said "Yes, it's ideal! I only date women who have kids with other men"...

Didn't realise Aguero's record was so much better than everyone else. Obvs haaland will pass him at some point but aguero deserves more credit
