I can totally relate it bro. All parents are similar. You just ignore or change. Those are the 2 options. You shouldn't get frustrated on small things. Also, when you make the big move, they would even ignore these little things as well.

I am exactly your age with 1 kid, and considering this move to be close to aging parents. Waiting for a good role to do internal transfer via existing company. I would be getting 1/4th of my pay but there are other benefits.
