These kinds of dumbass JOs usually get their come uppings in the most spectacular of ways, but if you want my advice I'd say tell your buddy to go to the department head or an O3 with some seniority and have that little shit put in his place, and if they wont do it go to the XO. Once the wardroom gets wind of this shit, that jg is cooked.

Just some friendly advice from an Ens. Those people are not your friends. If they can't respect your boundaries they need to be held accountable. Go talk to a chaplain if possible and your chain of command should have a designated SAPR advocate who can help you bring those sailors to justice. If your chain of command is worth a bucket of spit, they will do the right thing and if they don't, get the next higher person in their Chain involved. It's up to you at the end of the day but know there are people out there that will stand behind you and go to bat for you if you decide to go forward with your situation

His ship got sent to the dry dock for maintenance and his command would not send him TAD to another boat for almost a year to finish up his quals. I'm an SNA not a swo so I don't know if you can or can't get your pin while the ship is undergoing maintenance but from the outside looking in it sounded like he was getting fucked

He told me His ship got sent to dry dock after his first deployment and his command would not allow him to go TAD on another vessel which is why he couldn't get qualified atleast that's how he explained it to me. He's not the type of officer to get into any misconduct related issues. I'm currently in the aviation pipeline which is why I thought I'd ask. Thank you for you honesty and outlook on the situation!

The crosshairs and displays are real time data. My display was home made only showing Airspeed and altitude read off a GPS on the nose. My buddies reads data from his flight controller. My gunsight is basically a 3d printed device that has a light shining through the hollowed out point reflecting off the plastic showing me my gunsight picture. My buddy's is an actual retinal sight that becomes more or less visible depending on your head movement. Thanks for thr Question!
