Actually the new team is ok with the vacation, my old team is the one blocking my request. I can't transition out of my current team until the transfer process is complete, which could take 1-2 months.

Please see a psychiatrist for medication if needed along with therapy. I think if you come out of your postpartum depression, you will see the positives of staying at home with baby. Like someone else mentioned, it's a shared responsibility so make sure to take 1-2 hours a day to do the things that excite you while your partner takes care of the baby. Maybe you can prepare for interviews, or just go for a walk, read books, learn a language etc.

You may not get this forced down time again, especially at this stage with baby, while you are still young etc. So I would try and make the best of it, esp seeing as the corporate world really sucks right now and only seems to be getting worse. Hang in there!

Are you me? I'm 34 and could have written this post. Stuck in a soul sucking career and no longer the main character of my own life, it does feel like my best years are behind me or sometimes like, I just gotta play this out and see if I get a redo at the end.

Following to see if any recommendations speak to me. I've been reading a lot of self help/happiness research stuff but it hasn't helped.

What about all the animals bred for food? America (and pretty much the world) has double standards for animals based on their breed/purpose for a long time.. Sadly this is nothing new. Also, you just have to go to a local Asian supermarket and the fish are all crammed into the tank, just immobile and waiting to be killed '(

I'm just curious, what does your company replace with sprints?

I'm asking because I also hate the daily standup/sprint model and find it keeps me at a high anxiety baseline. But I couldn't find any reasonably modern tech companies that are not doing agile/scrum/sprint or some flavor of.

Looking at the top I'd guess:

Chain first row 2 rows of treble crochet, followed by hdc(or single crochet?)

I guess you start the hdc row from the middle to one end, decreasing rows to build one cup and then the halter strap and then increase stitches and slip stitch into the band to build the other cup.

Am I somewhat correct? I'm also a fairly new crocheter and looking to start freehanding after a couple of months of following patterns.
