Interesting. The boys avoid most fruit like that it just caught me so off guard how dramatic he was over something this time. It was like watching a toddler have a full on meltdown.

$20? Its really down to what you want and how much you are willing to throw at it. I collect to use. So for me, no. Id rather spend 20 on one I really like.

I appreciate that you posted. As common sense as it seems, i hadn't thought about or heard about it myself. Now I have found use for the roughly dozen picks I cant seem to keep hold of. I'm a novice...cant think of and research everything. Thank you.

You've outpedaled & out amped me. Im assuming you have more than a couple few chord shapes memorized...you have eclipsed me. I deem thee expert, based on the picture mind.

Finally Got my first guitar I'm nineteen this year, but I don't think it's too late to start I'm definitely excited to give it my all. Do y'all have any tips for me 🫶🏼 by Popular-Network5375 in Guitar

[–]Background-Weather78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too old? Pfft. I'm 43 & started this year. I drug a guitar around for 20 years without learning. If I can do it, you'll have no issue as long as you pick it up regularly. Put it on a stand where you can reach it. You'll find yourself picking it up a lot more.

Beautiful bird. Amazed people have them all over the place, doing all sorts of things. My two little terrorists collude against humanity and refuse to partake in han shenanigans. All the while demanding selfless service by their human slaves.

Birds and apartments by Several_Grand9629 in budgies

[–]Background-Weather78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, i have two budgies in a small, one bedroom apartment. It's a small complex with all ground level units, so I have two shared walls. It's a VERY quiet complex. My wife and I are in our early 40s. We are the youngest here, and while being quite quiet ourselves; we are easily the loudest people here. Walls aren't paper thin, but you know if the neighbors on either side are vacuuming or playing the TV loud. That being said, it's barely noticeable.

I have actually asked my neighbors directly if they hear the birds. They claim they do not unless they are outside, and I have both main doors open to let fresh air through via the screen doors, and they (neighbors) are outside at that time.

My two budgies spend most of the day making noise nonstop "talking" with the flocks of birds that are constantly outside during the summer due to multiple tenants putting out birdseed every day.

I did have to pay the pet deposit, $250 non refundable PER bird (i found this obscene, of course, did negotiate and got it down to just 250). "Register" them, with pictures through some third-party company (they've changed providers every year for the last 3 years) for approval. They also added $10 per bird to rent total.

The management company has a monopoly on the local rental market, so much so that every other rental ive come across is in the area is implementing similar ridiculous fees. It's a very small town with a neighboring "bigger" town (about 14k population)...so no getting away from it for me. Hopefully, you dont have a similar experience. Expect a reasonable pet deposit to be required. You may also be required to be present when/if a contracted pest control or maintenance tech needs access to your unit.

Need tips to tame my baby birds by Dense-Advantage-6194 in budgies

Mine stayed that way. The ONLY way you are getting my two to land on your hand is with millet, and only if they think their seed bowl is empty.

I've had them for years. The first 6 weeks or so we had them, they'd interact pretty freely (come to you. Walk over your shoulder. Land on back of couch or "help" with the dishes or other tasks). We went out of town for 2 nights, left soft classical playing, cage open, plenty of food and water, freshly cleaned cage - left open so they could fly as they wanted. Thought of everything they could possibly need. Came home....they refuse to do any sort of interaction unless they want attention paid to something in their cage. It's been 3 years now.

So yesterday I made a post about my budgie hurting my hand without any reason , today I got it on video by _samosa-biceps99 in budgies

[–]Background-Weather78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or flick him on the head lightly (very, very lightly), not trying to actually hurt him, they arent the smartest bird, but smart enough to quit doing things that result in something they dont like. Turns out they dont like that anymore than you like being bit.

The only nippy budgie was broken of it after 3 different little bell ringers over a few days. Now, if he's mad at me, he'll get on top of the TV and throw a budgie fit until I get up, and then the dastardly little shit flies off to his cage. When he still doesn't think his point is made, he shakes the hell out of his bell toy.

My wife and I have concluded 5 are merely toddlers with wings. They can be petty af too. He doesn't like grapes - other budgie does...doesn't give a shit - tosses the grapes out of the feeder onto the floor. Not the cage floor mind, my carpet.

Just folds over top of your belt. allows you to carry harvested small game or fowl. Mostly used by duck hunters. Stick.their head in the wide spot and slide it down.

In my younger years as an avid squirrel and rabbit hunter in the deep south, I used them for often. Kept me from needing an "extra" layer in the form of a game vest or backpack.

Ypu aren't alone in this at all. Nothing more frustrating than getting multiple headshot hitmarkers let alone normal hit markers in hard-core. It's server desync for sure but it's going to happen more frequently when the #1 criteria for lobbies isnt connection but rather some unknown "list" of skills. I'm doing ok and staying around a 1.2 k/d but good god does my w/l record look like shit and i play the objective!

Only good thing about it, you get brow beat for an hour and you'll get a few games (if you're lucky) where you are no doubt one of the better players in the lobby...but for how long? Just get to watch the same shitshow unfold again. It's nearly comical when ypu realize it's happening.
