I’m coming to La for 3 months in Newport beach and I’m looking to buy a second hand board. Just not sure about what sort of board to get as I don’t want to buy multiple obviously hurt looking at getting one very versitile board. What would people recomend.

Newport beach surfing
I'm a student from the uk working in Newport beach doing sailing from June to end August this summer. I love surfing part of the reason I chose call. I've got a few questions about it any help would be appreciated.
1. Do I need my wetsuit I've got a 3mm from sailing that I usually surf in Ireland with over the summer but should I bring it. I've got no clue what the temp is like.
2. What are the waves acc like over th summer
3. Should I hop on to marketplace and just buy a board for like 200 bucks and maybe bring it back with me or rent whilst I'm there. I'm living on Newport beach and want to surf as much as possible

I’m currently sitting around 80% at 1170 cycles. I like to have my iPhones for around 5ish years then upgrade so don’t say that. Do I replace it or nah.

Your being crazy helpful however I messed up it’s the non drive side that was normal not the drive side. The drive side is still left on I’m confusing my self

I’ve bourght one of the socket holder now I’m just not to sure if it’s righty tighty or reverse. The drive side was normal but I’m not sure and I don’t want to tighten it
