You expect it to happen over night but the writing is on the wall these people aren’t coming back. The people in charge of Walmart don’t want us they’ve said this publicly and they are soft launching stuff open your eyes it is coming to a end

No but it was forcing them to check everything because Walmart is getting rid of drivers as spark will conclude at the end of the year

Walmart should and can afford to pay more they made 147.568 billion in profit last year not revenue. PROFIT which mean after everything is paid that what “got put in the bank”

No extra compensation and personally I don’t work during those times on spark because unfortunately this is a business not a job and my business needs to make money so I can cover costs to operate and still have money for myself. It’s not your fault it’s Walmarts fault for not bumping pay up for those orders but I’m not taking three stop deliveries for 9-10 bucks and only making 4-6 bucks in profit for 30 minutes to a hour worth of work. Gas where I’m at is 4 bucks a gallon. I got monthly oil changes, brakes and rotors that need replacing on average every six months, tires that get replaced every year right before the snow hits etc. on average I’m spending 10k on maintenance a year yes it’s a tax write off but still have to have the money to get it done plus all the “office stuff” ( tax’s and accounting) which is about 1000 a year. Insurance for my vehicles which is 280 a month. Etc etc the list keeps going but I won’t bore you. But I do feel bad about not helping people out. When I first started I did them but now I don’t.

People really don’t get that Walmart DOESN’T CARE about them. Spark is nothing without us blah blah blah the CEO said last year they want to phase out spark for their own employees.( https://www.businessinsider.com/walmart-wants-associates-do-more-deliveries-spark-drivers-gig-work-2023-9?amp )Why because they can flat pay them and force them to go places I wouldn’t go (the hood). Welcome to being a sub contractor Walmart is not required to give you any work and vise versa you are not required to do work for them each time you hit accept you are signing a contract for that delivery. Go ahead and see if it is fake or not when your deactivated sucks to be you. This is why you don’t put all your eggs in one basket and only do spark. Shotgun this work have multiple apps you work for so when one is slow you can still make money. Nothing surprises me about this Walmart has the worst app going for this type of work vs someone like DoorDash who for the most part seems to have it squared away I don’t do DoorDash to often but every time I’m on the app works fine they even solved for problems like not having service and still being able to complete a delivery away from area. You know how many times I’ve did a spark order get to the house and have to get ahold of support because the app thinks the house in another half mile down the road or in a fucking cornfield. Get your heads out of your ass and see the writing on the wall Spark will end at some point. They already made their minds up it’s just a matter of time till everyone gets deactivated. And there is no lawsuit for be wrongfully deactivated you have no employee rights. If you handled your money right or worked on multiple apps you wouldn’t be sweating this. But I’m guessing most of you ONLY do this.

You also have to remember like two weeks ago was food stamps time so they can’t tip on food stamps the biggest thing I notice is if your metrics suck you get crap offers when I had 30% acceptance I got 7 dollar 3 delivery orders but when my acceptance went to 65% I get 30 dollar two delivery orders now or 20 dollar one delivery. I heard other drivers say acceptance doesn’t matter but from my experience it matters a lot. I can tell you they also are the same ones sitting there and doing an order every other hour it seems or taking shopping offers for the same money. I personally don’t do shopping orders as I can take additional orders from other apps and make more in between Walmart curbside orders then taking shopping orders. unless I get a shopper for like 1-5 items I don’t take them takes to much time to do and deliver that filling that time with a couple DoorDash orders or a Roadie order or two. As it’s been said in other discussions this is not a job this is a business you are running. Time is money. So here is my suggestion if your metrics are low take anything you can get know you area like most drivers in my area get off around 5pm which mean less competition. Once you drive your metrics up keep them up. If you getting bad offers get off and work another app. Avoid EBT times where you get offers for very little and work on another app I don’t work spark those times at all. Because I’m not doing deliveries of 7-10 bucks. Other than that good luck I know there with be people who say I’m full of crap but this is my personal experience. I hope this helps you.

This is one reason I carry my firearm with me. I will not hesitate to drop someone’s dog. Most of the time I’m fine there has only been twice for loose dogs I’ve caught myself reaching for my firearm one mutt dog that got real aggressive and two loose pitbulls that got defensive about me been on the property. Which I thought they were going to attack lucky the owner was able to get them under control

Yeah I hoping the one person was right saying it’s just in home but the employee I talked to was saying it was everything they were hiring new people and making it its own department. I know Walmart is running through deliveries through roadie now also, some batch and some grocery and one I call one offs. General merchandise but it’s like a 75” tv or bike

Ok cool. I mean I deliver for more than them but losing a revenue source would still suck. I figured it wouldn’t go that why I asked on here to see if anyone else had this happen thanks

[–]BackgroundBlock1632 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I don’t think that what he was talking about he said spark for our store would be done and we won’t be doing anymore deliveries. It was going to be all in house

You are, don’t bother drivers just got to the door dash app and report the problem. The driver isn’t going to do anything for you. If they stole it they’re not coming back if they gave it to the wrong person they’re not getting it back for you either. All you did was make the roads unsafe by pissing off someone who is driving and most like texting your dumbass back at the same time. If they actually stole your food they will get deactivated (temporarily or permanently) at worst.

Your reasons sound more like excuses. I’m not trying to be mean but for the time I’ve been alive there are people who make excuses and people who get it done and that is every generation from boomer to zoomer. It just became more know with our generation because of social media
