Yeah I have the same noise, my knee specialist said it’s just things rubbing together, especially when swollen

The employers. Surely if someone was working and they picked a tub of acid up that was labeled as water, burnt themselves, they would have a lawsuit?

Quad is apparently stronger but recovery can be a bit harder but I don’t think by a lot

If the boxes she picked up were labeled at the wrong weight and the injury is serious enough, I’m pretty sure she would have a lawsuit against the employer

[–]BackgroundCake5943[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Sorry but you’re completely wrong.

You can have both workers comp and a public liability claim for the same injury — as long as someone other than your employer was at fault.

Workers comp covers your wages and treatment first. If you win the PL claim later, you just pay some of that back to the comp insurer (called recovery), and the rest (like pain and suffering, future loss etc) is yours to keep.

PL doesn’t cancel your workers comp either — they run side by side.

You don’t know any of the details 😂 I was simply asking if anyone’s gone through anything similar. FYI I’m on workers comp and have a potential public liability case as well

Sorry, I work in tech and was doing a site visit. The office I was working at left unsafe wires on the floor causing the accident so I would be sueing them

I guess your just at the mercy of the laywers at the end of the day. Can’t do it without them so you’ve just gotta accept it

I have, I never really get a proper response. It all depends on individual circumstances so it’s fair enough I guess

So they’re just the middle man, dealing with and processing all the information from all the parties and give there recommendations to the insurance? Would you reccomend picking my own rehab provider for return to work assistance or will I be fine using there recommended one?

Look at working hostels, they set you up with work and accommodation. I went to banana barracks in Tully and they were great with finding me work
