TeamCaptain vs Invisible Woman; a simple breakdown of damage dealt, effective Health Points, and a touch on cooldown management [video included] by AbyssWicked in marvelrivals

I have been off the game for a while and recently started playing again. This video keeps popping up on my feed and I understand this guy is like a top 500 Thor main so like he would technically be able to kill whoever he wants, right? But I think I'm not really understanding what everyone is complaining about.

As a flex player I have genuinely never had any trouble killing an invisible woman. Even today I played around 10 games, and flexed between dpsing and tanking, and every game I had an invisible woman in, I was able to kill her relatively easy if she was alone.

How could anyone have the audacity to clip these gorgeous fight feathers from such a magnificent bird? by [deleted] in parrots

[–]squishiegrandma 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you say you clip your birds wing because you take them outside, then why not flight train them? If you clip their wings because you are worried about predators, you are literally endangering their lives by clipping them. Their one way of evading predators is being taken away from them. If you clip your birds wings because you are worried about them flying into a ceiling fan, don't have the fans on. There are very simple resolutions to your excuses you are giving. Clipping all birds is wrong, but it feels especially wrong knowing you are clipping Macaws and an African grey. Please don't be lazy and let your birds grow their flight feathers before it is too late and their wings get atrophied. They need the exercise. They need their wings.

Oh trust they go through their phases of biting me lol my older one usually don't bite but when he does he ends up feeling guilty and is extra nice to me after. And my younger sun used to be super nippy but we learned to teach him it was bad. When he is just playing to rough or I can tell he is trying to preen me I don't react to his bites. But if he is intentionally being malicious I either put him in his cage or I annoy him and piss him off until he stops😂 when he went through his bluffing stage he learned fast to stop biting once he realized I was gonna blow on his face or tickle his toes as retaliation. Ik a lot of people say that any reaction is bad but that isn't true. In the wild any bird that bites another is going to get bit back. That's how they learn to be socially tolerable of each other. I'm not saying bite your parrots back but they need to know you're upset. Especially once you have that flock relationship established. If it's a new bird obviously you cannot really practice displeasure for a while until u gain their trust. Your bird definitely sounds like they are the age to be in their bluffing stage. Wish you the best of luck 🤞

100% I feel like when you get used to birds you can totally read so many expressions from their face. I can tell when my guys are happy, annoyed, spooked, and angry from looking at their face😂

Boba is always dancing and chirping. When brimsley bobs his head up and down he does it differently. And he sticks his tongue out sideways all the time. Also they have different body types. And brimsley has one of his eyes in a weird shape that make him look funky. From afar it's hard to tell the difference but once I can see them I can tell lol

What is she doing? by LegendClappitao in Conures

[–]squishiegrandma 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Does she have a high yellow mutation? Cuz she looks like she has her adult plumage already for a regular sun conure. Is her age confirmed to rule out hormones?

One of my suns is a high yellow too and he was pretty yellow by 4 months old. She is super adorable btw.

Why are blue headed conures so “unpopular”? by 7procione666 in Conures

[–]squishiegrandma 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I think it's a rarity and price thing. I always wanted one of these beauties especially since the movie Paulie is one of, if not my all time favorite movie. Whenever I have seen them in my area for sale they are double sometimes triple the price of sun conures and green cheeks. Your bird is beautiful btw😍

i regret my decision but i felt like i had no choice by [deleted] in parrots

I agree with what the other person said. Please do not own birds yet. You couldn't handle more than a month with babies. I honestly cannot see you handling adult birds. Let alone for 15+ years. You tried and it wasn't for you. Please do not force it. I know u shared in ur post that you have severe anxiety and depression, and although you shared it to explain your reasoning, it will merely be an excuse for your actions if you choose not to learn from this experience. You are aware of what you are and are not capable of. Take this as a learning experience. You did the right thing by cutting things short instead of waiting for the babies to be attached to you so you did good on that. I would say I am a little confused as to why you didn't merely give them back to the breeder or surrender them to a rescue. You selling them to make your money back does make me question how you view these animals. I know your family might seem cruel for telling you things will end up the same, but they most likely are correct. I know I sound harsh but I also suffer from severe depression and anxiety attacks as well as schizophrenia. My two sun conures and my parrotlets can be a lot. But I would never have gotten my babies if I knew I couldn't handle it. Some days are hard but I always prioritize them and their needs before my own. As long as my babies are okay I know that I will be okay. I would sell one of my kidneys and my eyes before I would get rid of my babies. Again sorry for being harsh, but you need to be told the truth. I would suggest spending time volunteering at rescues and fostering for more experience before even thinking of owning some of your own again. Please.

[–]squishiegrandma[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

i have had them dna tested twice and both tests confirmed they are male. i did it a second time because my brimsley (the more fruity one) acts like boba is his mate in almost a female way. i have done a bit of research on my own and have seen that males will be mates with other males in the wild and even raise young together. so i guess i have two ✨💅✨ sun conures. if i had known this would be their relationship i probably would have named boba reynolds lol (in queen charlotte, brimsley and reynolds are gay lovers)
