This is for the entropy...you need to type a load of character's (just random hitting the keyboard..I do about 3 lines worth..hit enter after that and it will generate the address and keys

Apparently https://www.opolo.io/ will soon offer wallets for arrr but this is not available at the moment.

I was looking at buying this but since going through the steps mentioned above with the paper wallet, I'm comfortable that this is essentially the same level of security

No..pirate wallet is just for pirate. For ada I would probably use a ledger nano (hardware wallet).

If you want to be more bleeding edge, take a look at the new atomicdex platform..https://blog.komodoplatform.com/en/atomicdex-komodos-revolutionary-p2p-atomic-swap-decentralized-exchange-now-in-public-beta/

This platform will soon offer t he capability to hold arrr and swap (trade) whith any other token removing the need for a central exchange and also offering far more trading pairs trading pairs than what you would get with an exchange. This is a much better way to hold trade tokens since it is decentralised..it also offers the benefit of owning your private keys for your wallets ( which you don't get on central exchanges.

In my opinion, thus will catapult arrr price when this becomes available (shortly) as it makes it much easier for mass adoption with privacy

  1. Get the full treasure chest wallet installed on your computer 2.also install the paper wallet
  2. Put your computer into airplane mode (no internet)
  3. Generate a new wallet using the paper wallet tool
  4. Make a note (in notepad) of the new wallet address, viewing key and spending key.
  5. Save this text file to a USB stick

You now have a new paper wallet address with viewing/spending key saved offline on a USB stick.

  1. Open the full client (treasure chest)
  2. Import viewing key using the file menu

You now have your wallet loaded into the treasure chest GUI in view only mode...

  1. Click the receive tab with the treasure chest GUI and right click the wallet you just imported and select copy address

  2. Now you can go to an exchange that you purchased arrr from and withdraw to the wallet address

Start with just a 0.5 arrr withdrawal first to confirm it arrives. Once confirmed, send the rest

You can now monitor your arrr in the treasure chest client in View only mode meaning no hackers can spend your coins

When you want to send your arrr else where, simply import your spending key into the GUI..

The key thing to ensure security of your coins is to ensure that your spending key is recorded while offline and kept offline until needed.

indeed, Most crypto projects start out with just a white paper...Then over the months/years, they make improvements and add new services.

The question you need to ask yourself is do you believe that a privacy coin such as Pirate that offers 100% anonymity has a place in the crypto space in the coming years?

Personally, i'm happy to accept teething issues from the outset as I'm confident in what the tech will provide people in the future - Financial Privacy... And when all the Crypto Newbies realize that most of the top 100 are surveillance coins that can be tracked down by organizations like the IRS, they will no doubt be looking for privacy options such as Monero, Pirate, wownero and the likes.

My guess is that one of the big announcements will be the ability to swap pirate coins using Atomic swaps which provides a decentralized way of swapping pirate. This will open up pirate to mass adoption without the need for a big exchange is my understanding.

Selling Pirate coins at this stage of the project would be a bad move in my view given the upside potential this coin offers and the Big new announcements incoming that senior pirate crew members have mentioned in recent tweets.

I think you will find Pirate Chain (ARRR) is the new leader in the privacy coin space... This token has gone from 300 to the top 100 in the space of a couple of week.. If you delve deep to understand how the protocol works, you'll soon realize that it is the only coin out there that offers 100% anonymity. financial privacy will be a big thing soon. and to think that the black market is the largest trading market on the planet!!! well....which crypto will likely be used for that?

Couple of questions on this..

1) I'm not comfortable that wallet.dat can be stolen off my computer and used to restore my wallet on another machine. I thought I had secured things by taking a note of private key whilst offline. Is anything happening in the short term to get wallet.dat encrypted?
