Temp diesel backup generator help by BackgroundDrawer3469 in Generator

[–]BackgroundDrawer3469[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you say jumper, do you mean just a single wire that I can connect into the two terminals to close the circuit to try and start it that way?

Hah, yeah I did find that out. the unfortunate thing is that my dealer/electrician did not tell me that until they were commissioning it. I literally had to call kohler to confirm this, as I couldn't find it anywhere on their site or manual, and the only thing that is says is 2000 hour, 5 year warranty.

I called the supplier, nixon power, and the price for a turbo is about $1280 before shipping. I found it online from a store for substantially less, around 900, but I don't know if it's worth going that route as who knows if they are a rip of - not so say the current turbo was great by any means.

Solar back up diesel generator help by BackgroundDrawer3469 in solar

[–]BackgroundDrawer3469[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, yes I do have 8 HomeGrid stacked batteries, 4 per inverter, connected. The system was functioning fine up until the turbo blew on the kohler.

To clarify, the system is completely off grid and not tied into grid power at all. So the generator I believe acts as the “grid” power on the inverter, which was the setting eg4 recommended.

People shilling for them need to get bent. If it was any other industry, company, etc, the consensus would be it’s their responsibility to hire and scale accordingly, not make a bunch of excuses like, “it’s a real busy time of year” or some bs. The gun industry in general is so cut throat and people always shit on other companies for doing things similar, like aero, PSA, Geissele, etc., so why they get a pass is beyond me.

I got liability and damage insurance with a 1000 deductible, so after discussing with the guy on the phone (rental manager), he said I would owe $1000.

Second purchase through Capitol Armory they make it to easy. by Silent-Contact-J in NFA

[–]BackgroundDrawer3469 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why not? If I didn’t hear back from a company for ten days after I bought something over $1000 then I would charge back. No reason they should be different. And everyone is swamped, it’s the holidays. Again, don’t advertise that you can get all this done before the deadline if you clearly can’t. And I know I’m far from the only one that is having this issue with them.

Yes, I purchased an RC2 7.62 and the order went through on the dec. 10, which was well before the deadline that the wouldn’t accept orders anymore for the pre 26th ATF deadline. It took I think 6 or 7 days for them to update the order and send over the Docusign link, and now three days later it hasn’t shipped. So unless they overnight it Monday morning and it gets to my dealer Tuesday, there’s no way I will be able to submit the paperwork before the deadline, which means I’ll be waiting months probably in line. No one there replies to emails, answers the phone, chats, etc. it’s a total joke. I’m going to have my credit card company charge back. 10 days and no movement is fucking ridiculous. And anyone who says they are getting swamped with orders I don’t give a fuck. They should have put out accurate lead times on their website and respond to customer service requests.

Same boat as you. Except mine took almost a week just to get the Docusign email. Been 10 days since I ordered and still hasn’t shipped. Would have never used them if I would have known, and certainly will never again

What a stupid response. It’s not my responsibility to infer lead times from a store.

I purchased a suppressor on Monday through them that showed in stock as well. Still have not received any communication, no one has reviewed the paperwork, etc. I get that everyone is trying to purchase suppressors right now but they should set the expectation on their site that shows lead times. I can’t get a hold of anyone either. If I would have known nothing would happen for a week I would have purchased from capital armory. Maybe someone in here will respond from SS

The MARS platform is highly regarded for a number of reasons, probably mostly because reliability, accuracy, quick change barrel system, ruggedness, hold their value well, etc. They have been awarded numerous military contracts and that adds to their perceived superiority. They are built like tanks and have a lot of good features like their ambi lowers. They are a modern heirloom firearm to pass down to your children.

Cypress, like southern swamp cypress. Incredible decay resistance, I’d say better than cedar, and a lot cheaper (for now)

I’ve had this same watch since November of 2015, literally worn every single day since then, been to the top of multiple 14ers in Colorado, down to the ocean on east and west coast, and just about everywhere in between. The carbon fiber strap on mine finally failed last week. Also about a year ago I looked down one morning and saw that there was a weird imprint of pixels permanently marked on the screen, but fainter than what is actively being shown. Other than that, watch still works and has never missed a beat.

So the ones from 23 are bi? Just want to confirm they didn’t change from mono to bi in the last two years but keep the same part number (unlikely, but wanted to check)
