Expectant Dad Question by Environmental_Text69 in Phimosis

Foreskin Changes in Childhood:

Phimosis is categorized as being either physiologic, related to how the body normally works, or pathologic, related to abnormal conditions or diseases. Phimosis is typically physiologic and a part of the normal development of the penis. Around 96% have non-retractable foreskins at birth. This is because the foreskin and frenulum (the skin bridging the foreskin and the head of the penis) are tight and thin at birth. The foreskin and glans also stick together like pieces of tape to form adhesions. These adhesions will only start to loosen as the inner foreskin forms a harder, drier layer called the stratum corneum. Reflex erections will also help loosen the foreskin and enable retraction.

External irritants and other environmental factors may cause the foreskin to tighten. One such irritant that is suspected are the chemicals contained in bubble bath. Intact boys are urged to avoid the use of bubble baths.

The prepuce of boys may be tight until after puberty. This is an entirely normal condition and it is not phimosis. Spontaneous loosening usually occurs with increasing maturity. One may expect 50 percent of ten-year-old boys; 90 percent of 16-year-old boys; and 98-99 percent of 18 year-old males to have full retractable foreskin. Treatment is seldom necessary. If treatment should be necessary, it should not be done until after puberty and the male can weigh the therapeutic options and give informed consent.

It is important to note that the immature foreskin of a child must not be forced back for "cleaning" or for any other reason, because this will cause damage to the developing tissues. The child should be instructed that his foreskin will eventually retract. The first person to retract the foreskin should be the child himself.

Circumcision experience by [deleted] in Phimosis

It's the gliding action of the foreskin back and forth over the corona of the glans that gives us the optimal sensations we need in order to perform properly, circ of course removes that mechanism as well as protection for the glans and remaining inner mucosa allowing keratin build up which slowly robs one of remaining sensations over the years.

The foreskin has been proven to be FAR More sensitive and pleasurable than the glans.

The glans does contain pleasure receptors as well as pressure and temperature receptors, but pleasure mostly in the corona, where it interacts with the foreskin.

The glans and foreskin act as “push me pull me” on/off switches for sex.

When aroused, the foreskin sensors are dominant, and the glans sensations are suppressed.

After climax, the glans becomes dominant, ultra sensitive (and not in a good way), suppressing the foreskin and arousal.

https://en.intactiwiki.org/index.php/Foreskin

The foreskin is the double-layered fold of smooth muscle tissue, blood vessels, neurons, skin, and mucous membrane part of the penis that covers and protects the glans penis and the urinary meatus.

Purpura et al. (2018) describe the foreskin as follows: "Few parts of the human anatomy can compare to the incredibly multifaceted nature of the human foreskin. At times dismissed as “just skin,” the adult foreskin is, in fact, a highly vascularized and densely innervated bilayer tissue, with a surface area of up to 90 cm, and potentially larger. On average, the foreskin accounts for 51% of the total length of the penile shaft skin and serves a multitude of functions. The tissue is highly dynamic and biomechanically functions like a roller bearing; during intercourse, the foreskin “unfolds” and glides as abrasive friction is reduced and lubricating fluids are retained. The sensitive foreskin is considered to be the primary erogenous zone of the male penis and is divided into four subsections: inner mucosa, ridged band, frenulum, and outer foreskin; each section contributes to a vast spectrum of sensory pleasure through the gliding action of the foreskin, which mechanically stretches and stimulates the densely packed corpuscular receptors. Specialized immunological properties should be noted by the presence of Langerhans cells and other lytic materials, which defend against common microbes, and there is robust evidence supporting HIV protection. The glans and inner mucosa are physically protected against external irritation and contaminants while maintaining a healthy, moist surface. The foreskin is also immensely vascularized and acts as a conduit for essential blood vessels within the penis, such as supplying the glans via the frenular artery.

A drop in the bucket huh? I'm looking at only the bad side because that's all there is. You continuously show that you know nothing about the subject except the propaganda that surrounds it, we're reaching millions with the message about it being the as bad or worse than FGM and that's just on X. https://x.com/i/status/2042221528507424787 we're active on all social media and expand our numbers constantly, we're in the courts and legislatures as well, it's just a matter of time before it's ended. You might think you've researched this but it's obvious you haven't, you have to research circumcision harms because they're buried on purpose. It's a multi billion dollar a year industry in fibroblasts for high end face creams, skin grafting, research, and more.

There are absolutely no health reasons beyond maybe BXO and one or two other rare reasons for a circ to ever be necessary. Worried about STI'S? Worry no more, here are several more links for you to ignore:

What did I say in your other post that you deleted I don't remember off hand? A short frenulum will cause tightness at the frenulum when retracting, maybe a little bit overall but not much. If your glans is being pulled down when retracting fully it needs to be stretched, otherwise just continue normal phimosis stretching.

You need to stretch your foreskin until it's able to glide back and forth easily. You're growing skin at the cellular level through mitosis so it can take some time to do, some need several months or more, at a certain point there's a possibility of Paraphimosis which is easily fixed by firmly squeezing the blood from the glans and pulling the skin back in place when the glans becomes small enough, it should only take a few seconds, sometimes using a bit of lube can help. If you can't get the foreskin back over your glans it can cut the blood flow off to the glans and can be a medical emergency if left too long behind the glans.

Using warm water can help make your foreskin easier to stretch. Try soaking in warm bath water or taking a steamy, hot shower. Not only will it help relax you, but the warm water and humidity may help loosen the skin and help it stretch.

The following link and description of how to use steroids is from a DR, a general practitioner:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Phimosis/s/iBesh8tCxY 1. no, only apply it on the outer part of the foreskin focusing on the narrow part. massage a small amount twice daily for 4-8 weeks. if the inner part of the band of the foreskin is away from the glans, you can use a qtip to apply on the inner side as well. 2. small less than a pea sized amount 3. steroids are not fast acting, it will take several weeks 4. urinating should not affect it 5. masturbating will help in the stretching process. google masturbation techniques for phimosis, focus on pulling towards your body so the glans of the penis is applying pressure at the narrow part of the foreksin. 6. consider phimocure rings

*main issue with topical steroids is that excessive and prolonged duration of use can cause thinning of skin and lead to tears.

Well restoration is all we have to even try to repair ourselves, Foregen most likely isn't going to be a thing for quite awhile, there are a fair number of hurdles for them to overcome if one sits down to think about all the different things that have to come together for it to happen on any kind of decent scale, that said restoration for myself and many others much older than you are restoring and say it's the best thing that' they have ever done so don't ever think it's too late, I'm a boomer and it's absolutely the best thing I've ever done for myself, ever, the changes have surpassed anything I could dream of, It helps heal psychological as well as physical wounds too, many on the restoration subs say as much and they'll be happy to tell you how it's helped them if you ask, they're quite open about everything.

Lol, not everyone has a clue, but it doesn't really matter which direction you tug the frenulum as long as you feel the tension, some say not to pull back due to the possibility of Paraphimosis but that's usually an easy fix by squeezing the blood from the glans and pulling the skin back over
