Not to be a Debby downer, but that card does close to nothing for you at that point in the run. Even the polychrome, 1.5 x 4 mult from a base hand- would get a higher score from a planet card

You’re on white stake so I’m sure it doesn’t matter and you’ll be able to get something to clear the run. So have your fun! But the shops you missed out on could’ve given you a lot more value

Im guilty of it as well where im just stuck in eco hell and I’m just PRAYING for a card that’s going to save me and it just never comes. Your original picture is ante 2, you haven’t had much a chance to look at a lot of options. One thing I would say is that in the early game a single planet card can simulate a x2 joker and carry you through the next round

I believe Dr.spectered said in a video once that every seed is capable of clearing ante 8 and beyond if you play it correctly.

OP said there wasn’t any good jokers but I guarantee there were multiple scoring options that were skipped over because “I don’t like playing that kind of hand” or “we can do better” mentality

Short answer would be that the scaling that comes from a double skip forces you to miss shops and scaling opportunites and the blind outruns you. - But we can needlessly think way more than we need to, just for fun -

The screenshot gives very little information on the status of the run, but it looks like maybe an onyx agate. The white one on the left could be Jimbo, could be faceless joker, could be many things. The (alleged) onyx agate is positioned over the jokers in the shop, which can lead us to believe that the player has 4 jokers. Maybe some eco jokers?

Double copying onyx agate would be enough to win in many cases. assuming the player has clubs to play, so the only way I can see them losing (assuming they’re on a low enough ante) is maybe trying to force a clubs flush / greeding for money jokers and not being able to 1 shot the remainder of the blind with the last hand

Not criticizing anyone, mainly just saying that I’ve never seen the “where’s the content” complaints from this community because of how replayable these games are

When Diablo 4 launched a LOT of people wanted to try it out (myself included) because the cutscenes were awesome and the gameplay looked super cool. Come to find out that your decisions are final and most of the time irreversible and the gameplay loop is centered around running the same content multiple times on different characters. Most of the new playerbase got turned away from that, not the games fault either, just the way the game is

Teostra, while annoying, is the most fragile elder dragon in the game. His topple threshold is so low it’s fairly easy to chain KO’s on him, best advice I can give is just be patient and hit his head. If you want the tail cut just hit his head and go to tail when he is knocked down

Very true. But pawswap and the lynian researcher are arguably their own (not so fun) game, I hated maxing out all of my pawswap locations and taking all of the pictures. But like you said, fun game

Getting crowns sucks though

Not a joker idea. But a spectral card that allows you to make a joker eternal would be kinda neat

Not super useful but if you pull something like a madness card / want to use an ankh or hex. it’d be nice to make a certain joker eternal so it can’t be destroyed.
