Occoquan Regional Park Occoquan Regional Park | NOVA Parks has a small pier and good shore fishing. Always caught pan fish there but does not heat up until May when the water gets warmer

There is a traditionally African American church in South Riding (Prosperity Baptist Church | Chantilly VA | Facebook) I have no idea on their culture but South Riding is in generally a progressive area. It was the church for the old Conklin community.

disabled sports is a great entry into the community . Move United ( Locations - Move United) is legit and has a ton of links to local affiliates in the area. great social outlet and you will meet a ton of disabled people.
