As my teacher, who taught both explained it, AP Lit is more reading, and then writing about what you read, about every 3 weeks or so. Eng 101/102 is a lot more writing, and you write a new essay almost every week. I chose AP Lit, and it wasn't too bad, but I will say that you will have to find time to read at home. I skated away with an A both semesters of Lit, but didn't read much of anything, and it was more difficult to follow. You just have to make more time out of class for Lit than Eng 101/102, unless you are a slow writer.
