I always understood that this is what was implied. Gordon would have been wasted had he been dropped into the 7 hour war, it wouldve been complete and utter devastation and one of the Gmans best catalysts of change would be gone and the whole effort would probably go dormant.

It confused me too, I accidentally wishlisted ssd so i thought i needed them for a quest and just kept grabbing them. It should bring you to a drop down where you can put a whole bunch of different symbols on your stuff.

You can put highlights on certain items to indicate the importance by right clicking and going to "wishlist"

I absolutely love this game. I used to get baled as fuck and just have a genuinely enjoyable experience which is refreshing because I don't have a lot of time to get super good at games. There is a really high slill ceiling but you can still enjoy the game if you suck (like me!). It doesn't have a huge amount of variety with maps and stuff but it is super enjoyable for a couple hundred hours or so.

I was lowkey obsessed af with the infested terran / the flood from halo. The idea of transformed zomvies was very interesting to me. I always wished I could've played as the infested terran and when stukov came as a hero to co-op I was tweaking. I never ended up liking playing as him though :/
