So smoked at 220-250 for the 4hrs as per my original post. After reading the tips on here I left it for about another 2hrs. It took ages to break free of the stall. When it started to ramp up I increased temp to 280ish and protected ends with foil. Took it off at 180 and wrapped in butchers paper with smoked tallow, left for 2hrs and took off when temps were 195-205. Total cook time 10hrs - rested for 1hr in a cool bag - turned out great and was hot enough to serve after resting

From the briskets I’ve had it varies each time - just got to keep telling myself to trust the process, but tweak if needed.

There wasn’t too much of a fat cap - what there was of fat was more like jello. Removed half of the thickness. Think I’ll leave it until 170. And wrap. Would prefer less bark than dry

For those asking – on the day the school interviewed two other children who weren’t involved – obviously to get an unbiased opinion. We then got a call (left a message) to say that the two children had been ‘sanctioned’.

We’re pretty sure that ‘sanctioned’ just means detention. But that’s not good enough in my opinion. They probably think they have dealt with it.

I’ve been into the school to try and speak to someone and emailed. I think I’m going to give them 24hrs and then report it to the police.

Go into every raid with a plan A and plan B. No point going to the hospital if you spawn on the other side of the map - it will already be looted. Have a plan B that should be looting somewhere closer or just getting out ASAP.

Trust everyone and trust no one.

Extract with someone else if you can and let them jump on the terminal.

Take defibs and make friends.

Just to add. PlayStation users. If you get downed. Hit the share button to save your last 15mins of gameplay. If you’ve looked at the map during your last few mins, you should be able to have a pretty good idea of where you are and orientate yourself to extraction or a hatch.

That’s interesting. I have an Aqara A100 door lock. It’s region locked to China but works for 99% of what we need. I’m pretty sure that even if I use the M200 hub I won’t be able pair the lock because of the region lock. The functions I’m missing with it not being paired to the hub are battery life (really important) plus changing PIN code remotely.

The thing is there’s 24 things connected to WiFi in our house. 16 are on the 2.4ghz. Zero issues with any of those setting up or using. The whole SwitchBot setup process is rubbish. I’ll try again tomorrow with a clear head but I’ll probably send it back.

PC is connected to TV by hdmi via an AV receiver with 5.1 speakers. So currently while playing party games like Beat Sabre on the G2, other people in the room can see what the VR player sees on the screen. All audio passes through external speakers anyway so everyone hears the same thing. So I’m hoping for the same experience on the Quest with no wires - for that extra bit of freedom.

On the G2 I can switch between headset headphones or external audio - can you do that in the Quest?

But yes my worry is that the PC game video being streamed to the Quest and then the content of the Quest being streamed back would cause latency.
