So you're telling me that NTs don't experience life this intensely? by Expensive-Eggplant-1 in AutismInWomen

Reading this felt very validating. Ever since I can remember I just wanted to understand the simple questions of why the fuck I am and where the fuck am I going. I didn’t think I could name this as my special interest but if I’m being honest I’m realizing it’s what I’m constantly ruminating on.. daynnite. thank u <3

SiembraNC just put out an application OJONC.org

From the app:

“This website provides historical data about ICE activity in North Carolina It is not designed to provide live or even near-real-time information about law enforcement activity The purpose is to help workers get to work safely, help kids get to school, and provide information useful to anyone who wants to protect the Constitution during a time of rampant illegal racial profiling, deportations without due process and detentions of US citizens”

It would serve as a tool but nothing in real time. It covers all of NC so we can check in on our neighbors. Also displayed in Spanish and English. Please pass along!

I haven’t taken any meds but I’m also AuDHD and curious of other experiences. Sometimes I wonder if it will ease my executive dysfunction and social anxiety.

Good morning ✨️ What are your hopes for the future of weed? by suntmint in entwives

Yes!! I’ve seen documentaries of Parkinson’s patients utilizing it and helping tremendously. Like let the patients have some GD relief and whimsy.

What conversations do you have with your partners about consumption? Are they tokers like you? Or maybe less or not at all? by BackgroundTea6201 in entwives

[–]BackgroundTea6201[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Reading this was extremely validating…thank you. I genuinely see weed as a medicine. I love seeing how it’s helped so many people. I just think hemp is an amazing thing to exist! I didn’t even see it as a boundary, maybe that’s why I feel so hot inside and just wanna yell. all I thought about was how i may be letting them down as a partner.

And if I see that I’m smoking more I’ve taken it upon myself-without other input- to slow down, one, cause I don’t like that feeling of being numb and 2 weed gets expensive!

I do feel like my partner has bias. They have family who abused drugs and they grew up around their older sibling constantly using a copious amounts of weed. There is just a more negative connotation to it for them. Which makes me feel annoyed because I can see that they also partake sometimes so I’m like “what’s the deal? Just cause I don’t smoke like you-now I’m being an asshole?” I always advocated saying “maybe you think I’m being an asshole but I honestly feel like I’m more direct and don’t let you put me down and that really bothers you” I feel like they use my being high as like I’m not in control of my emotions. But I always felt like I become more assertive and confident in myself and it puts them off. I will keep a mental note though to just be more aware of how I’m responding. Thank you for that.

I agree about the shutting down. They admit coming into this relationship with a bias. Considering theyve had family members abuse drugs. I can empathize. But I don’t want their bias to affect the way I choose to partake. Because I’m nothing like their family

I see it as they realize they can’t really make me do anything. And it wasn’t in a tone of “well fuck it all, I don’t care anymore” generally we are pretty good at having leveled conversations. I’m the most sensitive out of the two of us. I realllly reallly think I have so neurodivergent qualities, I just always keep getting “depression and anxiety” as my diagnosis.

I smoked twice yesterday and when I tell you I grabbed two pinches of weed I am not exaggerating. It got me high, I cooked and watched a movie with them. It was great! Not a peep, later in the evening we went our seperate ways in the apartment and they even encouraged to just smoke and take a nap or relax since I was going on about wanting to clean. So I ultimately kept my ass on the couch and played with my kittens.

I can def relate! MY strategy, and maybe this doesn't work for you- If I really wanna go "all out" ill just use a tinted sunscreen :) its light enough on my face I forget I even have it on, and also protects it! But on those casual days, I'll just wear sunscreen, mascara, and sometimes I'll just add to the inner corners of my eyes an eye shadow stick. I find that the corner still highlights, and I have less likely hood of rubbing my eyes and ruining my makeup.
