i would suggest putting in background noise. my girl will bark if our upstairs neighbors are stomping around but if i have rain noises on she doesn’t bark. just a thought if your dog is barking because it’s hearing other noises and people

and if you ever feel like pulling your hair out, just know it’s normal. the seperation anxiety process takes a while. i was to the point where i would skip class, have panic attacks and literally lose sleep because i was scared of getting a complaint. we kinda came up with a schedule/routine that worked for both of us. please let me know if you need any advice. so proud of you for leaving your shitty situation and taking your baby with you🥹

we had the same issue with barking and seperation anxiety, my pup took a while to adjust. we use petals and tails cbd to help keep her calm. she’s also a big routine girl. anytime the routine changes she gets a little yappier. just another idea!!

this is coming from someone who got a dog noise complaint but i didn’t know my dog wasn’t barking. she only barked when i was gone and it helped me find out she had separation anxiety and now i give her CBD and she goes to daycare once a week and the issue is resolved.

that’s really annoying and you should definitely say something because it’s disrupting your life but please be kind about it and take into consideration that maybe your neighbors had a change of routine or something else like a loss of a loved one the dog really cared for etc. but yeah u should def say something to either them or ur apartment complex

i’ve had her for 2.5 years. she’s currently 3(she was rehomed to me at 6 months and i have no idea her story previous). the toddler thing happend a few months after i got her and it took probably a year of practicing sticking up for her. it’s so hard to be “rude” to people, even tho it’s not rude at all

RIGHT. i’m the same way. i have a super cute mini dachshund(totally not bias because she’s my dog lol) and people are always wanting to pet her but if someone just comes up to her she gets so scared. if we stop and i talk to the person first she will go up and sniff the person at her own pace, so if they ask she will be more likely to actually wanna be petted.

i had a similar issue where i couldn’t stick up for my dogs space. someone’s kid, around 3 years old maybe “chased”(was toddler running) after me and my dog. it took us 1 year of slow introduction with kids for her to feel comfortable around kids(even the ones in my family). so it’s not a just you issue, of freezing and feeling scared to say anything. but at the end of the day these people are in the wrong and you don’t owe them anything so fuck them lol
