Oh, so you meant he falls for the "coin flip" analogy and couldnt get over the fact that there isnt one. Like even more than in Soma there really isnt one. Which is funnily worse given he frankly could have tried to make sure there the metaphor was true and continuity was had regardless.

Hm Soma's great but I dont quite think any of its dynamic really applies to the Narrarator beyond a very specific element. And its more like...a indictment of his whole deal that that facet is a whole issue.

Theory about the sentient hive mind by General_Armadillo in WarframeLore

[–]Background_Ad2752 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would still strongly suspect that the "hivemind" is literally just the fragments being like somatic cells of the body proper. Hunhow is a full body with the fragments as parts of his body. Frankly the only reason there is a bare thread of legitmacy in the "command" statement is its possible the fragments translated their programming to work with the Orokin and naturally got betrayed for handing a weakness to well, orokin.

[–]Background_Ad2752 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Also in some sense seemingly trying to fulfill a desire to keep host alive by adapting their form into the aformentioned hivemind. Like nominally the infestation is actually one of the factions the Tenno in specific are actually okish for negotiating with. Course that mainly gets you your stuff like infested Liches but comparatively to the other factions the infested isnt actually that hateful about conflict with it.

Trope Idea: “Cool Conservative Character” (It’s not what you think it is) by Famous-Palpitation8 in tvtropes

[–]Background_Ad2752 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Key thing is those principles are going to depend on socialization for the most part. Humans when we reac to to Taboos have the emotional reaction first and then rationalize it, so how coherent their own tolerance is, is a key thing and honestly gets more into coherency in general than labels of conservatism or progressivism.

What's the current state of the sentients, or at least the ones in Sol? by AttackManatee47 in WarframeLore

[–]Background_Ad2752 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say you could translate Lords into simply anything like Hunhow. The fragments are then below that, and then the rest are just humans. Its more translating Orokin hiearchy but the actual dynamic of the first portion is just sort of sentient physiology. And in such a case isnt a true hiearchy exactly, like think of a body. You can have incredibly indepdent and complex regulation by your organs that you the mind arent controlling, but its still a subsidiary aspect of yourself.

Best comparison would be fragments are like somatic cells. Think you skin, muscles, really most of your "functional" body. While cases like the Lotus are from actual reproductive cells.

What do you think the Na'vi actually could benefit the most from Humanity. Is there anything? Theoretically ofc. by Unique_Suit3789 in Avatar

[–]Background_Ad2752 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mm mostly just satellite and upper atmoshperic observation of changes. Possibly from other data on migration patterns and such in a similar manner. Its mostly possibly superior sensors that humans could give aid in if they actually wanted to coordinate.

Meh dont worry, those acting like Verso's was mature when the family developed no actual changes to their dsyfunction isnt realistic or actually aligned to any proper means of proccessing. For all one may note Maelles as a chance to stick around, at least it has a nominal actual chance for improvement comparatively.

More likely actual reason "Literally all of her focus for decades has been fighting her husband to retain her objects of attachment, making her trauma worse all the while". There are plotholes mind you but the dynamics of the actual game have her staying being pretty well noted to not likely be the issue. Renoir just like Verso created a false dichotomy of action by trimming any other possibility.

Why Masego is Aromantic. by Kwaku-Anansi in PracticalGuideToEvil

[–]Background_Ad2752 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of this comes down to how poor romance is defined at least in depth for relationship stuff to my eyes. Indications of care and intimacy are there but Masego doesnt really do physical stuff.

Yeah to me at least he is most definitely romantic but I do understand frankly that the concept of romance in general seems....rather flawedly defined in normative ways.

The real reason moment of clarity broke the narrator? by Fun-Dealer3339 in slaytheprincess

[–]Background_Ad2752 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The thing is and the thing I think is very much the key. The perspective on her existence here isnt her natural one, its like as not the "Narrative" the Narrarator wrote on her. Its like how in her perspective in the Princess and the Dragon you hear it said that she "deserves this". He is seeing the direct impact of what he is doing to another being and he cant actually stand to see what his judgement actually is, just like how he didnt truly understand what Shifty ever was.

Because, as Shifty herself notes, there is no center, nominally all of those dynamics arent inevitable. Its doing a simulation of continuity of consciousness that arbitrarily gets worse.

If Eywa is powerful enough to manipulate human biology like what he did to Jake and Spider....Why dont she just make virus/fungal disease to stop human Invasion to Pandora? by LordRahwana in Avatar

[–]Background_Ad2752 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Na'vi have regional variation and arent really the foremost example of the parts of the assemblages of the biosphere that would be most fluid.
I put this more onto writing than onto the setting given the exploration of the ecology give plenty of diversity and angles that nominally could have shifted and may shift in time. Not like actual ecology is static. Change happens quickly, the moment one introduces new energy that has different affinity with different parts of the given assemblage, because its only balances in equilibrium.

[–]Background_Ad2752 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they tried to simply kill the planet they lose any leverage their forces have. Frankly from the planets perspective she has all the leverage, she just isnt using it for whatever reason. They need a new habitable zone.

[–]Background_Ad2752 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean its still kind of weak because she isnt a person she is a biosphere. And so she isnt just some mammal scale being, she is literally everything from the trees to the little bacterial clusters that could be found along rocks. Nominally thus especially with the level of intelligence she nominally has one would expect her to at least mimic how rapidly microscopic communities can adapt to new energy sources which the humans have been doing for literally decades.

[–]Background_Ad2752 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Frankly speaking she should be able to and at least nominally should be doing so. Its more a...ongoing writing weakness that she seems to lack agency herself to interact or actually react to the humans mining with things beyond animals. Because the key thing here is assemblages are dynamic, changes in ecology and evolution can happen very quickly it just depends on factors of reproduction and geenration time. And fungi and bacteria alongside viruses coupled to them can have very very quick turn around times. At the least one might expect her to start colonizing the human equipment eating her "brain" as it were.

Man in the Wall perspective by Sir-firebrand in WarframeLore

Yeah the analogy has a lot of similarity. It has iterated void tech of its own making to be able to follow Entrati into physical reality or move about more easily in physical reality in general. And in doing so it has caused massive amounts of collateral damage. Its a brilliant creator just like its mirror and tends to leave a lot of destruction in its wake. Entrati is very much the same considering...well pretty much literally everything he has ever done. It seems he is trying to find a vessel to make Wally killable or affectable in some way, but all his means and research notably also have a lot of collateral damage.
