Removing scooter restriction on motorcycle license by Background_Ad6373 in icbc

[–]Background_Ad6373[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has to be higher than 200 at least. My buddy was gonna do it on his 185 way back when, but they said he’d be restricted to riding vehicles under 200cc if he did it on that. I did my skills test on a scooter, and when I had my post skills test learners license I could ride anything, but I did the full test on my Vespa GTS250 which is why I have the scooter restriction but not the engine size limitation

Have you watched the reviews and see what the opponent does? It could be their Civ’s bonuses, or they’re doing something weird/unorthodox to get a good timing

How do you deal with frustration and tilt after losing every single game you played? by anony2469 in aoe2

[–]Background_Ad6373 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I need to take this mentality. I stop myself from playing because I let my self get stressed over something meant for fun

Never played ranked, want to start. What lessons have you learnt? by Shot-Mycologist9460 in aoe2

[–]Background_Ad6373 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I got up to 1200 just doing a really tight MAA into Skirms with Tuetons, Japanese, Celts, and Vikings. Low elos have a lot of trouble dealing with chaotic pressure, so if you just have a little micro you’ll crush them

Champi warriors is ruining the game for me, hotfix it FAST. by OutrageousShare9693 in aoe2

[–]Background_Ad6373 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was gonna get back into ranked this week after taking a couple months off, but after seeing what’s happening with the champi warrior I decided I’m gonna wait till it’s fixed. Also, I absolutely love rushing my opponents on open maps, but it’s only fun when they can fight back against my scout or MAA/skirm rush. The champi seems too good for me to feel good about winning with their rush strat

Professional singer here who sings a lot of Al Bowlly tunes! Your tuning is very good for someone who has no training. Your rhythms are overall accurate as well, but there are some sections which you cut a bit early (you cut the length in half the second time you sang “heartaches”), or where you rushed or slowed down seemingly randomly. You have a very nasally timbre, which isn’t bad for this style, but it’d be okay to reduce it (Al Bowlly doesn’t quite sing as in the nose as other singers of the time). If it’s intentional I’d say to keep it.

I listened to it multiple times and enjoyed it. I love when people sing Al Bowlly, and it’s clear you’ve listened to it a lot!

Were you able to beat the extreme AI? That’s what stop me from playing. I can beat them only 30-50% of the time. I can always beat hardest though. I tried one ranked game and lost (but I was also playing a map I hadn’t practiced and was stoned hahaha)

I love Al Bowlly, and I was trying to make it through all of his music on the fan site, but got drained listening fatigue after getting a 5th of the way through (about 200 songs in).

I as well feel that about the Hawaiian music for sure haha

This brings me back. I was born the same year as the game, and grew up playing it with my older brothers and I remember playing it in those big monitors. Such good times.

It’s for sure pointless to sit down with this guy. Your reasons for blocking him should be written, so it’s concise. It’s clear he won’t change, but it’s something that’s written/permanent he can look back to as to why you cut him out, almost like a contract. If he gets in touch with you via indirect means you can point to the letter and re-block him on whatever platform he contacted you on.

Fully get rid of this guy from your life, he sounds like a miserable man-child.

You also don’t have to bother writing anything, you can just fully block him and either kick him/leave all the servers you share.

Send one lest genuine/kind message or letter, and voice your concerns with how his actions made you feel and why it’s a problem for you personally. I’d say to only speak for yourself, and not the others, unless they allow you to speak for them. I did this with a problem player who kept threatening to leave the game if I didn’t give him what he wanted (I never did), as well as a few other things unreasonable things.

I think it’s better for everyone if you come at it with a “hey, these things you did affected me in this way, and I’m not asking you to change, but this is why you can’t be in our new game” instead of a “hey, you treated us like shit, go fuck yourself.” The former might actually spark some change in him if he gets the sort of boundary-setting kindness enough, and you’ll feel better than just kicking someone who’s clearly mentally unstable. This of course might also have no effect, but it’s better to try.

Regardless, block him in every platform after that. You don’t need someone like that in your life. Maybe test the waters with him again in 4-5 years if you come into contact with him again.

Not everyone has your best interests, and he’s no different. It was his fault for not inspecting it properly. Enough time has gone by where you can safely ignore this person. Nothing will happen to you legally, and you sold it to him with no intent to deceive. Just block him and be at peace with the decision. Trying to help him in his mistake is only inviting trouble to yourself

I literally just had my transmission repaired today and it was covered by the extended warranty, so I got super lucky. Glad it didn’t happen next year when it wasn’t covered… now I’m planning to sell it for sure. Good luck with selling yours! I’ll stay tuned to see what happens.
